Joining forces from adjacent areas musically as well as geographically, Township Rebellion and Marc Holstege each contribute two resounding original cuts. The German producer collective initiates side A with Aphrodite, a spacious and majestic construction that pieces together uplifting synth arrays with a brooding bassline and an overall elevating groove. A slice of near-symphonic dub tech that elates and captivates at the same time. Gaia comes in progressively, kicking in with a stripped down bassline only to escalate into a full on body mover, powered by grave synths and pensive leads. Boomy percussion lays the base for industrial pads to amp up the highs, reinforcing the somber atmosphere. Holstege’s premier offering, ‘Mangata’ unfolds sequentially, as the producer pairs a deep, melodic intro ridden with celestial chords to a sunken kick drum and metallic percussion. Strings and harmony make up the main pillars of ‘Sonorous’, used to craft a melancholic and mesmeric deeep tech exploration. Warped synths announce a tense buildup, ultimately reverting to the overtone of the initial string motif.

This is the final release in Thomas Schumachers break out Natural Rhythm trilogy on Noir Music. Not only did he position himself on the top of the charts with the first two releases but he also put his name straight in the spotlight and into the dj-sets of many of the top players in the techno scene.

So whats the next move when you have great success and peoples attention ?For both Noir Music and Thomas Schumacher its a no-brainer; You take it one step further and keep challenging yourself and your audience.

The opener Stella on this release is an example of just that. A very emotional string-led track accompanied by relentless techno beats, distorted arppeggios and a big cinematic break to make you pull your hair out from pure joy (i know i almost did).
Persistence is a mesmerising acid-journey that digs deeper and deeper in its intensity as it evolves into one of Thomas Schumachers signature breaks. Then the track takes an unexpected turn through a more complex, dynamic rhythm before resolving back together with its contagious 303 theme.

Its another 2-tracker from Thomas Schumacher where I feel I signed two a-sides as he just keeps making quality music the way only he knows how. It puts a smile on my face every time I play these tracks in the clubs around the globe and I hope it will please your ears as well.

Incorporating a delectable “huh” and graceful piano, Claude VonStroke has excelled with his interpretation of
An Evidence of Time. Animating the original with an emphatic bassline and unyielding timbres, whilst paying
homage to the original with the mid-way breakdown. Audiofly have reconstructed Radian with their discernible
sound. Their remix strips down the original, migrating through hypnotic synthesis, steadily building then fading
to silence. Keeping the original kick a prominent feature, Tim Green ’s rendition of the title track Baobab shines

Marseille-based Mark Höffen has become an emerging talent since arriving on the music scene in 2016 and signing to Parisian label – Sweet Melodic. His varied blend of melodic techno, jazz, electronica and house soon led to releases on the likes of Sweet Musique, Click and Mimesis, with ongoing support from Oliver Huntemann, Sam Paganini and Joseph Capriati to name just a few. He now returns to SINNERS following his ‘Orwhat’ release on the label last year and his appearance at their sold out ADE showcase, revealing ‘Black’ this February.

“I think that every producer has doubts when it comes to exporting tracks, but there is always the question of a V2 or a V3. On this EP I wanted to assume that a piece is never finished and can continuously be completely re-modelled. ‘Black’ and ‘Blacked’ are the end of this state of two minds, two versions but with different arrangements.” - Mark Höffen

Höffen’s first version entitled ‘Black’ opens with light paced synths amongst cracking snares and eclectic sound bursts throughout, whilst offering a glimpse into a darker dimension. The second interpretation, ‘Blacked’, lays the focus on sweeping, soaring synths alongside bursting basslines and firing drum shots, offering two diverse tracks set to move any dancefloor, and marking another impressive outing on the label.
