This weeks Guest Mix for DTLA Radio Friend & Family comes from Cas.

Cas is a Washington, DC Metro area native with a passion for house music. From the rave hay-days of the late 1990's through the rise of EDM, Cas has stayed true to the house music genre. He has performed in clubs all over the United States, most notably, up and down the east coast. The golden era of the 2000 house scene solidified his love of up-tempo, funky house music with a splash of disco, and techy elements. In 2023 he began producing the music he loves and in only a few short months has half a dozen releases with many more slated for release later this year. He's excited and ready for the opportunity to pay it back to the house music scene which he was welcomed in as well as found a home.

Let's welcome CAS to the DTLA Family.

Formed by Musician and Drummer Cary White (Infected Mushroom, Tom Morello) GC has been gaining steam since the projects inception in late 2016. In a musical world of here today gone tomorrow, Cary has found a way to incorporate what he considers to be the most important element of music today - The Groove!

Groove Cartels fresh, high energy sound has been captivating audiences all across the country as well as abroad. Cary has performed events such as Burning Man, EDC, Audio SF, Groove Cruise, Basscamp Festival and been the resident DJ at places like the Roosevelt, Skybar and Grafton hotels in Hollywood CA.
