Originally released on 20-Apr-2020. My instrumental reaction to the early days of the Covid pandemic lockdown. Dark, heavy, unsettling, angst & anxiety ridden.

And no one had any idea what the following three years would bring.

I asked my friend Andy Kauffman for an idea for a song title, and he came up with "Falling Skies". I decided to interpret this as a melancholy, reflective piece, looking back at what choices we made in the past to make the sky come falling down. In nearly 30 years of playing guitar, this is my first ever solo guitar piece, and quite a departure, stylistically. I hope you enjoy it!

Falling Skies

Chris Stark is an instrumental rock guitarist and songwriter living in a rain forest in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. He also works at a telescope on the highest point in the Pacific Rim.
