William Florelle is a London-born, Lisbon-based, songwriter, producer, and DJ with mixed Nigerian and Swedish Heritage. The project aims to blur the lines between many contemporary soul-driven styles including afrobeat, jazz, R&B, and more club-focused dance music.* 

JW. Carew, (Aka William Florelle) has always been entranced by the deliberate syncopation in music. Stemming from an early love for afrobeat and growing into an appreciation for all styles that share similar cyclic qualities, he is drawn by the meditative state that is a result of the minimal. His debut EP ‘Two & Three’ (WotNot Music, home to K15, Glenn Astro, and more) received high praise as it crisscrossed between the dance floor and soulful R&B.* 

His latest forthcoming releases 'Vessel' & 'Stuck', continue to explore areas where his vocals provide distant and airy songwriting on top of house and broken beat-inspired grooves forming a mishmash of organic and electronic-driven dance music.*

"Vessel" is the latest release from the genre-hopping creator, William Florelle in collaboration with Groovence, the esteemed French label that houses Cody Currie, Moonee, Kassian, Tour Maubourg, Kevin Over, and more on its repertoire.  

The release explores a new flavour of deep house/broken beat-infused dance music. Both tracks are led by the voice of William Florelle and *Vessel (Side to Side)*, features the entrancing spoken word of Shama Joseph.

In form with the theme of William Florelle’s lyricism, *Vessel* is a call to express and be oneself, especially on the dance floor - ’(you’ve) got all the answers, don’t hide yourself, don’t hide your bubble’. *Sometimes*, on the other hand, is pensive, flowing in unison with its wound-down but very vibey beat.

On remix duties, friend and collaborator, [Beringei](https://www.instagram.com/beringei/), joins to provide an interpretation of *Vessel*. Rethinking the chords and flipping the beat, [Roy Vision](https://www.instagram.com/roy_vision/) joins to remix *Sometimes.*

Roy Vision, your "favorite’s favorite DJ’’ has been steadily rising over the past two years. He, whom critic Louise Chen regards as "one the best French producer of the moment" strikes again with a well-crafted four-track EP, a small ode to house music filled with the percussive and dreamy touch he's known for.

After quality releases on Visions Recordings, Top Pocket, and his own label Demo Test, Lucas has likely found the opportunity to carve out a space around his Roy Vision project (The guy also heads one of the most interesting projects in terms of analogic live right now as Nouveau Monica. An explosive IDM concentrate with UK GARAGE aspirations,  has just unveiled his new live act at Astropolis summer festival in 2023 and played alongside Mr. Laurent Garnier recently, quite a feat).
A maestria of syncopated rhythms and probably a pioneer of the synergy between deep house and garage house, always with that almost organic treatment of drums and his special attention to sampling.

He first offers "Cold Sea Euphoria," an intoxicating Leftfield House/Electro ballad of 7 minutes and 50 seconds, where the work on the drums and the particular attention to the treatment of textures and the development of tension around the track is kindly reminiscent of a certain Pépé Bradock.

We come out of this listen groggy, and all the skipping textures at the end of the track throw us into the second track "Dark Dance". The original track is an instrumental with a strong melancholic feel, a haunting pad bouncing on a bass with '90s accents for a mental and progressive track still in an assumed deep aesthetic. 

The third track is a cleverly orchestrated remix by the brilliant Tatie Dee filled with Rhodes-House aesthetic, warm bass and a fairly primal house that is definitely infused with the producer's trademark we love.

"The Morning After" closes the project with a whole other energy. Probably the most club-oriented track on the EP, flirting with acid house where the bassline drives more minimalist arrangements and textures. 

This EP is thus a concentrate of all this "RV’s Secret Sauce" in the service of clubs and for the greatest pleasure of our informed ears. A four-track that probably pays homage to the genre's pioneers as much as it brings that je ne sais quoi of freshness and novelty we've come to expect over his course.

Chloé, also known as Tatie Dee, has been on a roll with performances and releases over the past few years. She’s been working closely with her beloved label, Friendsome Records, as well as releasing tracks on other top-notch labels like Atteral and Semi Delicious. Her latest EP, Bloom in Chaos, is her most personal and heartfelt work yet. It’s a deep house collection with her signature touch—sharp, timeless, and irresistibly groovy.

"Bloom in Chaos is an ode to love and resilience," she explains. "Each track is dedicated to the most precious story I’ve lived. In writing them, I wanted to transform pain into something meaningful to me, something I’d want to remember for the rest of my life."

The four tracks explore various facets of deep house. The EP opens with "Trip to Quiberon," an ethereal track that feels like a long, nostalgic walk along the seaside. Keeping melancholy as its guiding thread, the EP shifts to a more club-oriented sound with "IMU." Groovy rhythms, an acid line, and classic house piano make "How Much We Had" the most club-friendly track on the release. Finally, "Echoes of Inner Peace" closes the EP with a hypnotic, dreamlike conclusion.

As of late, France has been a hotbed for up-and-coming house and disco labels, releasing some of the grooviest tunes pumped out on dance floors across the globe. Newly minted Groovence is no exception to this, bringing forth their their first label release with a various artists compilation that will leave your head buzzing, heart melting and feet stomping. VA releases can be hit or miss but « The Cosmic Groove EP' lives up to its name with funky, spaced out cuts that will have you calling Houston and assuring them that there is no problem.

Based out of Paris, the vinyl-only label has been releasing an 'invite' series of hour long sets to showcase their tastes, with guests as Luvless ( Rose Records, Sleazy Beats recordings), Ethyène ( Moonrise Hill Material, Kolour LTD), Tour Maubourg (Pont-Neuf Records) and Twice Movement (Groovence) ; each sporting their own quality tracks on the label premiere.
