Sydney based producer & drummer Bentley opens this compilation with a Jazz-Funk record that will make you feel just as warm as he intended you to.
Most well known for being part of the band Foshe, their recent album ‘Nice to Meetcha’ released in March made people fall in love with improvised Jazz.
‘Sunshine’ softly blends classic styles of Jazz with elements that we are all becoming very accustomed to, in todays Jazz Scene!
The elongated space-like chords, the broken drums and funky baseline will see a couple knee jerks inna da dance.
‘Sunshine’ features Milton Points on the bass and Daniel Pliner on the keys. Bentley previously worked with Pliner on the ‘Ford Pliner’ album that debuted in July. They come together once again for this toe tapping groove.

‘Leave It All Alone’ starts with an electronic R&B styled intro before switching key for the sweet & beautiful voice of Veda Black. The track completely ignores traditional compositional structures and instead, invites you to follow them through the track as they visit each section.

Budapest born - Berlin based keyboard player and producer Abase pays tribute to Pedro dos Santos. A man who is widely considered by many as one of the greatest musicians of all time, largely due to Santos inventing instruments that harness the culture of Latin music.
‘Sorongo’ is a Latin-Jazz record that shows just how versatile Abase is. Teaming up with Ori Jacobson on the saxophone & Ron Warburg on the trumpet, the outfit encourages the idea reflection.
