By the age of 17, he was already crafting his own tracks. After a decade of self-taught sound design and further studies in harmony, his current work showcases the immense potential
of this versatile and innovative electronic artist. For the past decade, he has focused primarily on Drum & Bass under the alias Impak. Establishing himself as one of the genre’s most influential figures in Spain. His finely honed productions frequently graced the Beatport charts, and his name became synonymous with top-tier Drum & Bass events. As a resident DJ at the iconic
Industrial Copera in Granada, he cemented his reputation while regularly headlining parties across the country. On the international stage, Impak became a recognized name, releasing music with esteemed labels such as Cause4Concern and earning support from key figures like Optiv, BTK, and Prolix. His sound echoed through venues across Europe on numerous tours, further solidifying his place in the global scene. In recent years, this wealth of experience has fueled his shift into the world of techno under the alias Atonism. With his second vinyl release on Freddy K's Key Vinyl label, as well as more than ten digital releases on respected labels such as Flash, Warok, Autonome, Cantilce and Olympian, Atonism’s sound is a blend of intellectual grooves and captivating rhythms. With a sound rooted in groove-heavy tension and hypnotic rhythms, his work explores the deeper, more meditative end of the spectrum.
Releases on KSR, Planet Rhythm, BCCO, Truncate and Drawner Records showcase a refined, focused approach.
For this episode, Burden shares a special live recording from a recent daytime party where he showcases a departure from his usual darker palette, leaning into a lighter flowing energy while maintaining his signature tension and drive. It’s a mix that reflects range, instinct and a very deep connection to the moment.

Lindsey Herbert is a prominent figure in today's techno scene, particularly renowned across the US’ Southwest for her unwavering dedication to techno's more underground sounds and sound design, and her ability to command crowds no matter the circumstances.  

Beginning as a young raver with an intense passion for dance music and its community, Lindsey began her own musical journey at the age of 15 and has been at it for nearly half of her life. Since her first gig in 2014, she has been a fixture alongside top-tier artists in the bustling scenes of Los Angeles and San Francisco, leaving an indelible mark on both cities. Originally a resident and booker of Robot Ears and now a resident of Direct to Earth, Lindsey has been an integral part of San Francisco's techno landscape, while also gracing the stages of prominent LA promoters such as OBSERVE, Synthetik Minds, 6AM, Dirty Epic, RE/FORM, and more. Her influence extends beyond borders with steady headlining gigs both domestically and internationally, while her more recent relocation to Phoenix sees her actively nurturing the local techno community as a resident of Techno Snobs. 

In 2019, Lindsey made her solo production debut on LA's Ascetic Limited, marking the beginning of a prolific journey in the studio. Her discography has grown exponentially, with recent drops on esteemed U.S. underground labels like Truncate, 4-Trk, Blank Code, Northern Parallels, and Crisis of Man, as well as notable European and South American imprints such as Noise Manifesto, Planet X, NECHTO, Suara and many others. The future holds even more promise with countless forthcoming releases on the horizon.

However, Lindsey's trajectory extends far beyond her production career. Notably, she graced the stages of Movement Festival in Detroit and the iconic Tresor in Berlin in 2023, further solidifying her presence on the global stage. Additionally, she was personally invited by techno luminary Richie Hawtin to tour throughout North America as part of his From Our Minds concept, further cementing her status in the industry. 

In a noteworthy evolution, Lindsey's personal sound has transitioned to a more hypnotic, groovy, and dancefloor-oriented style. Her sets, ranging from ambient to deep to peak-time and high-energy, are meticulously crafted to suit the atmosphere, aiming to immerse listeners in a captivating journey and lock them into a relentless groove.

Beyond her performances and productions, Lindsey is also a co-founder of EvilGroove, a burgeoning label that continues to expand its roster of talented emerging artists. The label has been actively hosting showcases, providing a platform for the next generation of techno talent to shine.

With her dynamic sound, magnetic stage presence, and relentless dedication to pushing boundaries, Lindsey Herbert stands as a formidable force in the technosphere, leaving an indelible mark wherever she goes.
