Imanol - Muertevideo [Golden Soul]

Germany by-way-of Spain label Golden Soul is back with its 81st release by Imanol. The Uruguayan artist takes you a higher state state on the dancefloor, rich in musical cultural fusions while taking in electro, indie, pop, electronica on "Montevideo". Next track "Muertevideo" is a seriously moody and low slung dark disco epic, which receives a rework by label chief James Rod up next that takes the track up to a higher tempo and injects more dancefloor dynamics to rock the main room dancefloor.

"Hundidos" (sunken) has some original vocals by Imanol itself and the lyrics indicate the aforementioned concept. Break N°2 is a part two dub version of the first track produced with similar instruments. "Dr. Jekyll y el Mr. Hyde" samples a Cortázar reflection of loneliness which frames very well what the pandemic was for the artist.

This is the first EP released by Sub-P and we are very happy to release it. Below is a description that he wrote that explains what it is.

Reflections of the era of immediate satisfaction. The culture of always on-line putting in check the sense of humanity. The false proximity and excess of virtual connections have precarious face-to-face contact. Daily needs such as eating, communicating, being crazy to move, and even getting sex (mainly sex) were summarized in mobile applications in the palm of our hand 24 hours a day with the least possible interaction.

Welcome to "The New Anormal." A dive through the Disco House and Deep House with provocative basslines and sensual strings that anticipate the summer bringing scents of the beach and sweat.

PREMIERE: Lagoeiro - Urano [U're Guay Records]

Owner of the interesting label U’re Guay Records, Imanol lands on the Varese-based imprint and party series this is not with his “BBY” EP, which consists of two solid originals and one groovy remix made with love by Italian duo we.amps (SXDNS285).

Hailing from Montevideo, Uruguay, Imanol is that kind of artist that, despite the young age, is greatly influenced by the ‘70s and ‘80s. Funk & Disco layers and elements are extremely present in his productions and sets, no wonder his tracks have met the likes of internationally acclaimed DJs like Folamour, Jacques Renault, Rahaan (SXDNS116), Javi Frías (SXDNS004), among others.

He is also a lover of good quality Disco-infused House Music – and this is precisely the kind of sonority he delivered on “BBY”. The title track, premiered here, brings the Uruguayan producer flirting with a Fidget atmosphere through the use of samples and a strong presence of synth arrangements, clearly showing Imanol's vision of electronic music.

The EP is composed of two original songs by Umvral (Addi de la Cruz) and three remixes made by: Aleito, Cu Da Curuxa and Parallel

'Viva la trance' is in the frenzy of a fight for survival, composed from start to finish with trance music clichés and trying to never stop, that is, never slow down the beat and mixing different synthesizer sound on each moment.

'Veneno para las hadas' is a track inspired by the 1986 Mexican film of the same title specifically when narrating how the 'poison for the fairies' is elaborated by their natural enemies: the witches.

This EP captures how artist imagine the secondary effects of beign poisoned by the witches, undoubtedly a rush of pain, but accompanied by hallucinations and funny moments to make death more enjoyable.

At the end of 2017 he edited his EP "Funky Weekend" on Beatport which climb on place 31st of the funk/disco best 100 rank and in mid-2018 he mounted his own label “U’re Guay Records” featuring artists around the globe. After a decade of musicing any encounter, since the last years the rhythm of presentations has become constant in clubs and parties in Uruguay emerging new opportunities in several countries in the Americas and Europe.

Dr. Jekyll Y El Mr. Hyde

Mahkina is the alter ego of Mexico producer Alex Aguayo. In this project, he offers a perspective of a mixture between industrial sounds, classic rave drum sequences, and atmospheric trance grooves for clubbing purposes and gives us a look back into the 90s classic old-school vibes. The EP is composed of three original songs by Mahkina and three remixes made by: Imanol, Gala and Manuel Sahagun.

This EP was born out of the curiosity of reconstructing hidden sounds in my memory of the great influences of Spanish pop from the 80's, combining them with some elements of techno as in 'Bichidisco' and happier synthesizer sequences in 'In die dance', and in 'Decadance' we hear a more melancholic melody that brings back autumn nostalgia. Includes remixes from Mexican artist Umvral and Argentinian Panko.

Diaz Tech is the alter ego of Daniel Alberto, producer and DJ with more than 15 years of career who presents us: "Don't Stop" EP that is between deep techno and tech house.

The EP has two powerful original tracks, which are also accompanied by three bomb remixes by Cu Da Curuxa, Cali Burton and Edd Brave.

The EP is characterized by analog and digital sounds without many processes, raw, with a dark touch and a little acid, with vocals that will tripped you out during the dance.

PREMIERE: Díaz Tech - Push It [Kyma Komplex]

The Brazilian duo "Moozeic" (Joici Borges and Manuella Wintrich) and the Mexican "Veltran" fall on Neurokat Records with their new "Electrowave" extended play and it's loaded with a powerful remixes by Lu Zero, Imanol & Panko.

Through references found in genres such as Synth-wave, Progressive, Techno, Rock and Disco they experiment beyond aesthetic standards and linear concepts.

The opener its a solid, electrifying and ethereal track, "Disco Ritual" kicks off the mind-blowing with spectral vocals.

Up next comes "Electrowave" a more dark disco and paranoid cut, with obsessive synths and a oscillating lead that takes you into a psychedelic forest and Imanol turn it into a crazy acid mood that you'll wish never ends.

Panko makes a welcome appearance with a dark, dirty and power-driven mix of "Disco Ritual", a mind controller, a one way ticket with no return.

To close the EP, Lu Zero with hers version of "Disco Ritual" a rhythmic and psychedelic expedition, voices and sounds from outside this dimension.

Time is defined as the quantity that measures the motion of mutable things. Time is the movement
from the past to the present and finally to the future.
To do anything, you will always need time: to study, play, work. You will also need time to cook and
then eat, but also just to sleep.
Time should not be measured in hours and minutes, but in transformations.
Lorenzo Magnozzi's EP is a proof of his musical depth which has roots in a very vintage sound, an
almost primal sound but moving towards the future.
Classical rhythms and never predictable melodies, a live arrangement, unexpected rhythmic
changes and unexpected events, these are his characteristics that we can hear in his
compositions.
The sounds of the classic 909 and 707 along with the analog melodic basslines are the heart of the
groove, and everything above with the melodies and soundscapes are the representation of how
deeply rooted the true and deep roots of the House, Techno of Dance Music.

After hearing some nice promos from Ureguay Records, I was inspired to polish and actually finish off tracks that I thought would fit with the Ureguay sound and send them to the label. Usually I do what I can to make my productions not sound too old school, although people continue to say that they do. In this case I thought I aim for an old school sound, you might even recognize some beats and loops.

The new track is reordered, regrooved and remastered mixing modern house foundations and adding new synths and bongos percussion played by me. Enjoy!

Imanol est toujours à la recherche de nouveaux grooves, il adore digger et mettre en avant des musiques trop souvent oubliés du public. Sa musique est touchée par des DJ de la taille de Folamour, Jacques Renault, Rahaan, Javi Frias, entre autres. Imanol • DJ Set

This is a seriously groovy house doubleheader poisoned with acid synths and crowned by that well known Latin heat from label boss Imanol who does it again.

A side will set any dance-floor off with those Latin percussions, a classy double bass line and infected with 90's house sounds on the beats and synths, as if that were not enough, Imanol manages to sample very striking mouth percussions in the middle of the song. This is a track that will sound just as fresh in 20 years and still be causing some serious ass shaking.
