So here's the big news I've been teasing, Groovy Godzilla is now Groovy Kaiju. The reason being is Future Funk / Vapor wave is growing super big, and super fast! And I really want to help it become as big and as awesome as it can. Not even for like Money, or clout or anything, but I've just always been about building communities. Whether is be skateboarding, WebAssembly, or music! After going to Electronicon, and Virtual memory, it really helped me realize vaporwave is here, and it's IRL, and it's totally happening and become something big. Under that thought I realized, if I want to help, or be a part of this, the "Godzilla" name is COULD stop me from going on spotify, playing events, making merch, etc.... Thus, I'd rather bite the bullet now, than get hit with a copyright thing, and then be stuck without a way to transition. Thus, Groovy Godzilla is now Groovy Kaiju. Plus, most of ya'll call me just "Groovy" anyways, and I'm still you friendly neighborhood Groovy Giant Monster :)

Another big news! I am now selling merch! So this is a first for me, it's all going through Threadless Artist shops! And for some background for the song, I've been travelling a ton because of my day work (I'm a developer and developer relations engineer for a new Web Technology called WebAssembly). I've literally been to like 5 different countries, and all over the US. But more than anything, one of the best feelings was coming back home to Long Beach Airport. It's a super small airport, and very chill to go through. And the announcer is actually me landing back home after a long trip. I had a whole thing where I lived in silicon valley for a bit, but I moved back to Long Beach because I loved the city so much. It's not for everyone, but it's definitely for me haha! So this song means a lot to me :)

A new single I premiered during Codex Sight, Sounds, and Conversations set!

I'm super stoked on this song, because it's the first, non 4/4 time Groovy Kaiju song! :o It's actually in 3/4, meaning it's a song you can technically Waltz to haha! I really like sampling soul music, and a lot of it is in 3/4 time. So I wanted to play around with new time signatures. Also, I'm really into like old soul hip hop beats with the super high pitched samples. But I know it's not for everyone, so I thought I'd throw my hat in the mix and see how y'all like it :)
