Irise – The Psytrance Live Experience
As a core part of Doubsquare Records, Rizon co-founded Irise, a live Psytrance act with multi-instrumentalist Izak Scott. More than just DJing, Irise brings Psytrance to life, incorporating live guitar, percussion, saxophone, vocals, and FX into its performances.

With Izak’s fluid, improvisational harmonics and Rizon’s deep electronic mastery, Irise has become a defining feature of Doubsquare’s label showcases in Australia. Alongside fellow Doubsquare artists Miss Jade (Victoria) and Sharkra (New Zealand), the team is setting a new standard for hybrid Psytrance performances and showcase sets at festivals and club nights alike. Beyond the Decks: A Force in the Scene
Rizon is more than just a DJ—he’s an architect of the underground, actively involved in event production, artist mentorship, and festival support through Locally Hosted Australia. Working alongside local promoters, festival crews, and community groups, he plays a major role in strengthening Australia’s independent music scene.

He has performed and worked behind the scenes at some of the region’s most notable festivals and events, including:

🎪 Shine On Gimuy Festival, Kuranda Roots Festival, Orin Aya, NYX Festival, Roots Fest, Berlin Calling, Grass Is Greener, Festival Cairns, and Port Douglas Carnivale.

After a 10-year network and development era in Victoria, Rizon returned to Cairns to perform at the 2012 Solar Eclipse Festival, marking a defining moment in his career. 
Since then, he has been a driving force in the revival and evolution of the Far North Queensland underground scene, supporting the next generation of artists and promoters while pushing boundaries as a performer and independent event curator.

"Mainstream streaming platforms don’t fairly compensate artists, which is why I choose to support independent music. As a freelance artist, I don’t rely on major streaming services— instead, you can find my music on Bandcamp and SoundCloud. I also support independent artists and labels by purchasing music through Beatport or directly from their websites or in person.

The industry is evolving, and I believe in a future where artists and producers are paid sustainably for their work. There are many networks and avenues out there—each to their own—but for me, it's about keeping the music and the artists at the heart of it all."
