By the time she finishes her monologue, you two are far deeper down the catacombs. She seems to be looking for something.

Her attention turns to one of the pillars in the room. There appears to be something laying behind it. She goes out to grab it, and sure enough - it turned out to be a training dummy! (well, it's more of an abandoned mannequin than a dummy, but it's the spirit that counts!).

She puts down the worn-out model right up next to you, then instructs what you must do as she heads to the other side of the room to watch.

After taking a moment to recollect yourself from what just happened - and to prepare for whatever he could have possibly imply lurks beyond the Catacombs...
You finally muster up the courage, once again, to brace whatever will come next.
Your SOUL fills with DETERMINATION - the strength to carry on and see what is next.

You approach the door. You breathe in, breathe out. You give it a push.
And you move on.

Upon taking your first steps, you immediately take note of how... let's say, "different", this place was from the expectations you had formed.

The air feels frigid. Gusts of wind course throughout the tall trees and large bushes, filling your head with the sounds of the nearby forest. You take a glance at your shoes, and sure enough, the entire ground is covered to snow. And as you take in the scenery, you finally begin to notice the snow and flakes that begin falling gently on your body.
An outcry from what the Lady insisted the lands beyond the ruins she resided were, this place feels like an eternal, peaceful winterland. But if everything you've seen so far is to tell you, that can hardly be just the case.

After taking in your first sights, you go on to explore your surroundings.
Laying on the snowbed, you see some broken branches. Some rocks. What you think is was a packaging for some brand of ice-cream. A few leafs. Nothing really that's out of the ordinar-
...

... there seems to be a some sort of machinery hidden inside one of the bushes. Or at least, there was. It seems to have been completely ravaged.
All that remains are a few scraps and broken wires.

Huh... odd...

From the corner of you eye, you could've sworn you saw something move.

On the far distance, you see a locked gate. There is no purpose going foward.
All that you can do is go deeper into the forest, where no one can see you.

And pray to the Angel that was just your imagination.

21. Dubiously Dense Snowfall

You go deeper and deeper into the snowcapped forest, hoping to find yourself even remotely close to the other side of the forest as soon as you can muster.
You go throught a few deep declines, you move past fallen logs.
The snowfall fills your senses with the taste of mint

You start seeing a light. This is it. You are nearing somewhere safer. Somewhere where you know you aren't being watch. You can do it, just one more step. Just one mor-

A light shines behind you. A bright, red, fluorescent light

It doesn't seem to be from anything organic, not even from your own SOUL, or even any other source you could know. The hum that comes from behind you does not feel like any type of vehicle you can picture either. 
But one thing is certain - it shares the same hue from what you say before.

For a moment, you are left paralyzed in fear, your head left facing the ground for a brief second. But as you regain conscience of your own mind, and as you try to continue, you suddently see a strangle silhouette of a fence now blocking you way.
But... It wasn't a fence. It couldn't be one. Your eyes focus more on what you're seeing, and you eventually realize that... it seems to be dozens of the same, pointy entities, standing right next to each other. All holding onto the same pose.

With no other choice, you turn around. And, while the darkness of the forest obfuscated its appearence, you can tell the entity in front of you was just like them. Or at least, something that was close to how they looked.
