BIO:
LoKKoTRONN, born and raised in Spain but living in New York City since the 2000s, he is the co-founder and resident DJ of the acclaimed Erratic emblem, established in 2011. 
Since its inception, Nico has been constantly refining and expanding his techno palette rendering the genre inextricable from his way of life and sensibility towards the arts and electronic music as a whole. His style when behind the decks can be characterized as a blend between melodic, acid basslines layered with poignant, driving rhythms that penetrate equally the mind as they do the body. 
His solo techno journeys under LoKKoTRONN have been featured on podcast series such as Monument as well as his co-run Erratic Podcast to name a few –the latter now being over 5 years old and spanning over 130 episodes. 
He is also involved in and part of the dynamic Dos Lokos duo, composed of himself and Erratic's second half Jason T., where outputs of their unique and powerful mixing have come to life on Strobe's and Input Selector's podcast series. Always in search of new sonic textures and enchanting melodies, LoKKoTRONN's mixing and penchant towards the cerebral are rare and timeless.

Grounded podcast number 90 welcomes spanish DJ, 'LoKKoTRONN' who has been residing in New York City since the early 2000's. During his time there he struck up a bond with Jason T, who make up the dynamic 'Dos Lokos' duo. 

Together in 2011, they established the acclaimed Erratic emblem, curating exclusive techno events and running their own podcast series which has seen plenty of our favourite artists appear as guests over the 150+ episodes that have spanned across the last 6 years.

His style when behind the decks can be characterised as a blend between melodic, acid bass lines layered with poignant, driving rhythms that penetrate equally the mind as they do the body. @eris-drew  is a mixer, song writer, keyboardist and vocalist from the Prairie State. She is also @hugoball312 's co-founder and @smartbarchicago 's resident Mother Beat medium. Drew's one-woman bopping live synth act is her personal trans femme travel log. This continuous mix of beats for your jeep is inspired by events, real and surreal, which transpired this year in Detroit during Movement weekend at The Bunker at Tangent Gallery and Club Toilet. Is Cernunnos, the Celtic god, with a human appearance and horned head. He is Psychopomp animal, the guide of souls toward the great beyond, a mystical intermediary between the world of Heaven and the earthly world. He is symbol of beauty of Natural World, with resplendent aura coming from spirit, he is who perceives the vital forces presents in the nature. This is “El Resplandor de los Ciervos”, a pure reflection of the mystique embodied in the Natural World, is a representation of heartbeats of life.

Biography
As an adolescent, the artist responsible for 30drop discovered new synthetic and electronic sounds that would later influence his work. From the year 1996, his activity as a DJ powered his link with music, focused on the Detroit Techno and Techno sounds, with the industrial references of Birmingham, moving toward an industrial, experimental, noise-based sound, particularly in the mid-2000s.

After a creative pause and as a DJ, it was not until 2012 that he decided to set up his new project, 30drop, which he eventually did at the end of 2014 at same time of his label 30D Records of which is the Manager and A&R together with Angel Molina.

 

Ideas and artistic concept
Using experimentation, 30drop does not create its music merely as the culmination of its concerns but as a channel for expression. The twin ideas of timelessness and multi-dimensionality are always present in the project. The play between light and darkness as the music projects these supporting concepts is what defines it.

Solid Techno, a repetitive beat, a cosmic melody and syncopated harmony are all used to create an universe that reflects the endless expansion of outer space and, at same time, introspection. Soul and Mind, Muscle and Brain.

 

’30drop’ Etymology
A SMPTE timecode is a set of cooperating standards to label individual frames of video or film with a timecode. 

Timecodes are added to film, video or audio material, and have also been adapted to synchronize music. They provide a time reference for editing,  synchronization and identification.

’30drop’ is the name of the SMPTE timecode used to synchronize audio and image of the old USA black & white analog TVs in the ages of 50’s and 60’s when the boom of SciFi TV Movies and films arrived at all the Americans houses through television.
