The Handy Records crew return once again with a stunning EP from none other Mr Bobby Cazanova; A1 is an absolute gem. Nostalgic, catchy, euphoric and all round feels. Just what we needed after the 2 year hiatus from nonsense. It’s a speedy emotive number with all the bells and whistles for a great time. Definitely one for the 6AM sunset. Following; the A2 is a sub aquatic bubbler. Low slung bass and rich strings lead this into a deep technical groover. Again Bobby has nailed the feeling of having heard this before but never quite like this. The A3 is something quite special. Acid lines and driving bass make this an absolute heater for the floor. On the flip we have another fast paced rhythm. This time capitalising on the darker side of Bobby’s mind. Between pulsating baselines and inquisitive synths there is an emotive and paced production that is sure to get people moving. Rounding off the EP is a darker piece. Glistening pads and pensive arpeggiation make this a slow but sure burner for the dance floor.

The third release in the 10YEARS story sees the two label-heads take centre stage once more. A split EP between Per Hammar and Parallax Deep, it showcases the many nuances to each producers’ sound arsenal. Berlin-based Per Hammar has been enjoying a swift ascent recently, thanks mainly to some brilliantly received sounds on the likes of Infuse (where he collaborated with Fuse’s, Rossko), Malin Genie Music (where he collaborated with Malin Genie and was remixed by Mandar’s S.A.M) and Okain’s always on-point Talman. Parallax Deep is a producer whose sounds are always worth the wait - and one listen to her contribution here and you’ll see what we mean. 
 
A cultured, dub-heavy, minimal-inspired release that speaks volumes of the duo’s penchant for curious, otherworldly sounds, this is techno of the sort that is laced with atmosphere, sci-fi tinges and futuristic-sounding flourishes. Parallax Deep’s ‘Trim’ is a case in point. On the surface, it does very little: gliding along at a steady pace, picking up gentle momentum as it goes. This one though, is all about the details, Listen closely and attentively and you’ll encounter a deep-as-hell track that notable for its empotive prowess and dexterous appeal. Truly impressive stuff. 
 
On the flip, Per Hammar comes out with ‘External’, a more ‘banging’ track that sees the producer switch matters firmly in a techno direction. From a purely emotional standpoint, it’s cut from a similar cloth to its predecessor, but this one is all about the hypnotic, trippy, repetitive vibes. A hugely engaging and deep track that’s primed for discerning dancefloors, it acts as a perfect foil to Parallax Deep’s contribution. An inspiring release that’s sure to appeal to fans of quality-strewn house and techno - and further proof of a label that’s definitely hit its stride of late. Hand-stamped, vinyl only and limited to 300 copies, savvy collectors are sure to snap up this one as soon as they can.

Per Hammar - External

We are proud to introduce the first female artist on Groundid Music. Monile is a young Moroccan Dj/producer. Born in Rabat, now based in Barcelona, she is a dynamic and passionate lady whose heart is split between two loves: Architecture and Music. 

From the early age of 12, She was drawn to electronic music. At that time, a very different style than today, she planted her roots from 90's hip hop & rnb all while tapping into jazz and disco music. She is also keen on exploring different flavors, from berber rhythms (her origin) to ethnic grooves coming from places she's been to. Her music reflects a rhythmic compassion for deep grooves and enchanting bass lines all-encompassing a minimal/ tech genre. 

Monile has been playing music since 2012. From playing intimate environments, for friends and at private party's, She has been well received many times and finally decided to give herself a name and go public. She has since they played in major events and venues alongside renown names in the scene. She started producing her own music in 2017 and has since then released EP's on CELO Rec, LTHM and Fragments. 

She recently started a certification in professional electronic music production at Microfusa Escuela. With her broad musical background, her productions and dj sets incorporate the deep and dub-influenced sound she loves, whilst retaining the driving funk of her musical past. Her love for music is an endless journey to share with the world.
