For our second installment in ZOO VISITOR mixtape series we have SAMIRAHIM who got so inspired by NEFFA-T @ ZOO4 that they made this mixtape! BIG UP! This is exactly how we want it to go!
WARNING: This hi-energy mix is extremely catchy and can cause heavy leg shaking!

Samirahim started deejaying in 2017, and has since become deeply rooted in the Helsinki underground. Having a long background in classical violin, their sets are often meticulously prepared and curated from thousands of hand-picked tracks. Their style can be characterized by high-energy mixing of various genres and surprising blends. Besides music, Samirahim's interests lie in the field of neuroscience with studies in both capital area universities. They are currently also spearheading the long-standing Hytky collective.

During this spring, Samirahim has been shifting more into the bass-heavy sounds of the UK, something they originally started djaying with. The guestmix is mixed on 3 decks and consists of mostly new selection with a playful focus on grime, dubstep and rowdy refixes.  We can hear the Neffa influences in this mix and we like it a lot. Bell Curve’s kaleidoscopic music pushes from the club out into the cosmos. As a co-founder of New York label and promoter Worst Behavior, she has fast become a pillar of the city’s underground music community, championing future-seeking sounds from the ever-expanding ecosphere of soundsystem culture and bass music. W dwudziestym szóstym odcinku gościmy gagatka o ksywie @semprey - krakowski DJ i producent, który zgłębia gatunki muzyki klubowej z basowego spektrum. Inspiruje się muzyką ze wschodniego wybrzeża Stanów, Ameryki Łacińskiej i Karaibów, brytyjskim hard drumem czy trapem, ale nie stroni od bardziej klasycznych brzmień techno, house’u i jungle.

Jego debiutancka EP-ka “Balanga” ukazała się w 2020 roku nakładem Tańców. Jej oryginalne brzmienie opiera się na wykorzystaniu transowych właściwości dronów obecnych w polskim folklorze. Próba stworzenia zupełnie nowego brzmienia w muzyce klubowej okazała się sukcesem, a Semprey dał się poznać jako producent warty śledzenia. Jego brzmienie zainteresowało meksykańską wytwórnię Hypersonics, dla której zaprezentował swoje romantyczne oblicze w stylu reggaetonu i baile funku.
