Above & Beyond release their new instrumental club record ‘Projection’, the lead single off the 16th edition of the famed Anjunabeats 'Volume' series.

The final unreleased ID from the trio's headlining set at last year's Group Therapy 450 event in London, 'Projection' has been tweaked and tightened on the road over the last few months.

"For this record the intention was to fuse early 2000s Anjunabeats uplifting trance vibes with a chunky electro house groove," says Jono Grant from Above & Beyond. "The contrast of the heavier groove with the uplifting breakdown is working well in our recent sets".

Featuring 33 tracks over two discs, Anjunabeats Volume 16 includes exclusive music from 40+ artists, both fresh and familiar to Anjunabeats fans. Sketched on the road and in Jono, Tony and Paavo's London studio over the past year, this new mixed compilation showcases the direction of Anjunabeats over the next 18 months.

Celebrating their twentieth anniversary this year, London’s Above & Beyond unveil another hard-hitting club instrumental: ‘Crash’.

Referred to as the ‘20 Years ID’ by tune trainspotters in our label community, ‘Crash’ was one of six Above & Beyond originals heard on their Anjunabeats Volume 15 compilation, which was released in July of this year. 

The track was created just as the pandemic took hold, ready for summer festival sets that never eventuated. ‘Crash’ was finally given its long awaited live debut in the band’s Group Therapy 400 livestream. The show was recorded on the River Thames, London in late September of this year, just a hop, skip and a jump from the trio’s recording studio in Bermondsey. 

‘Crash’ is out now on Anjunabeats.
