Canadian DJ and producer Simon Doty collaborates with powerhouse duo My Friend on ‘Follow Me’ (feat. Tailor). ‘Follow Me’ is the next single to be released from Simon’s highly anticipated album ‘Universal Language’, out April 28th on Anjunadeep.

Written at an Anjunadeep label songwriting camp last year, ‘Follow Me’ features a pulsing bassline, bright synths and warm vocals from British singer Tailor. ‘Follow Me’ comes after the release of previous singles ‘Have You Ever?’ and ‘Soulflow’ which have gained radio play from BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM, KCRW and DJs like Gorgon City, Diplo, Pete Tong and Nora En Pure, among others.

Crafted for the dancefloor, Simon’s debut album ‘Universal Language’ showcases a range of musical styles that they can expect to hear Simon play during one of his DJ sets.

The album features a range of collaborations including American spoken word artist Ursula Rucker, British duo My Friend, singer / songwriter Tailor, UK-based producer and vocalist Artche, British vocalist Ruth Royall and legendary American recording artist Roland Clark as well as a remix of JODA’s hit track ‘Closer’ (feat. Robyn Sherwell).

In support of his upcoming album, Simon has recently announced phase one of his ‘Universal Language’ tour. Featuring over 30 dates, the tour kicks off in February in North and South America, before moving over to Europe and Asia. More dates will be announced later this year.

British duo My Friend makes a triumphant return to Anjunadeep with their latest offering, a four-track EP entitled 'The Calm'.

In 2023, My Friend made waves with a series of successful releases on Anjunadeep. Their impressive repertoire included the dynamic four-track EP 'Holding Out', a captivating collaboration with Dosem titled 'Blue Marble / Door To Door', and two tracks alongside Simon Doty, notably 'Follow Me' featuring Tailor. Garnering support from industry heavyweights like Danny Howard and Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, as well as praise from DJs such as TIBASKO, Eelke Kleijn, and Nora En Pure, My Friend has solidified their presence in the electronic music scene.

The title track of the EP, 'The Calm', features vocals from acclaimed UK singer-songwriter Tailor. Blending dark baselines, intricate percussion, and Tailor’s catchy vocals, 'The Calm' showcases the duo’s mastery of production. ‘Waterpark’ sees the duo utilising an echoing vocal sample with driving synths while 'Wavy Jane' features intertwining melodies and an atmospheric breakdown. EP closer ‘Moonbeam’ features bright piano chords and layers of carefully crafted synths, demonstrating the pair's unparalleled creative energy as producers.
