"And" - a simple connector of things. Before the sounds of electronic music dominated the airwaves, there was a communal experience among those who had discovered this obscure genre of music. Out of a desire to celebrate the connectedness of that community, Anden was born. 

Brothers Tom and Pete Cuppernull have spent the last decade applying their lifelong musicianship to their music. Classically trained on the violin, cello, and trumpet, Anden's organic and warm productions have garnered cross-genre acclaim from Solomun, Above & Beyond, and Diplo, supporting their rise as New York City's breakout house and techno act. 

Originally beginning as hip-hop DJs, Anden is recognized for their mature DJ sets and prowess behind the turntables. The brothers proudly celebrate their New York roots and often draw upon the rich urban experience of the city to inspire their records, typically featuring vocals written and sung by the duo.

Anden's recent growth has been nothing short of extraordinary. The duo began 2019 hot off the release of their hit track ‘Void’ on Solomun’s imprint DIYNAMIC, which received a premiere to radio audiences on BBC Radio 1. 'Void' was a staple in Solomun sets, peaking at #12 on Beatport and breaking into numerous Top 10 Techno charts on Apple Music across South America and Europe. Later in the year, Anden was tapped for remix duties by Diplo, Mark Knight, and Anjunabeats mainstays Genix and Fatum. The brothers backed up these releases with guest mixes on BBC Radio 1’s Diplo & Friends, Toolroom Radio, and Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy. After selling out multiple installments of their own Sound Room Live event series, Grum hand-picked Anden to join his long-awaited Deep State tour, finishing the year with performances across North America, continental debuts in Europe and Asia, and a performance at Fabric nightclub in London.

When the pandemic shut down touring in 2020, Anden reached across the pond for several releases on key European labels: Yotto’s Odd One Out, Berlin’s melodic techno authority Katermukke, and the newly minted Eleatics Records. The brothers also completed a residency on BLOND:ISH’s Abracadabra TV, streaming their Sound Room brand to thousands of viewers every Sunday on Twitch. With the 2021 return to touring in full swing, Anden has joined Yotto for his US summer tour ahead of their debut album on Odd One Out.

With releases on labels including Anjunabeats, UV, Deep State and ZeroThree, Dylhen has become synonymous with quality progressive and is truly one of the scenes breakout stars.

One of the longest-serving linchpins of the trance scene, Genix has deep roots in the genre that have helped his production career to grow exponentially since his debut release in 2003. Since then he has become a mainstay of Anjunabeats, with other releases on Armind, Vandit Records, Enhanced Records and Reset Records to name a few. DJing alongside the world’s elite along the way, he has become a huge name in his own right.

Pushing an exciting new sound that makes a departure from many of his previous works, he is one of the most exciting acts in Anjunabeats’ impressive stable. With no compromise in his style across his 100+ released singles and remixes and no desire to water down his sound in order to reach more commercial audiences, he is an artist who is truly dedicated to his scene.

His new formidable sound blends the most exciting elements of trance, techno, house and progressive into a potent, high octane cocktail. With a penchant for in-your-face textures and sounds set against stunning melody and beautiful atmospherics, his sound is at the vanguard of the trance movement. Blending reverence for the formative sounds of 1990s dance music upbringing with the sounds of now, his tracks are consistently among the most exciting in the scene.

He first found fame as a resident and promoter at legendary UK club night Passion, which was one of the epicentres of the ‘90s/2000s trance explosion. Cutting his name alongside the scene’s biggest DJs, he amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience that would give him solid foundations for the rest of his career. By the time he turned his hand to production in the early 2000s, he had a keen understanding of what worked on a dancefloor, giving him a huge head-start. It quickly became clear that he was as talented in the studio as behind the decks, and it wasn’t long before he was attracting major attention. His massive remix of Peter Gelderblom’s ‘Waiting 4’ version Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ ‘Standing On The Shore’ was a huge hit on BBC Radio 1, and over the years he has remixed many of the trance scene’s finest, including Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz and Sander Van Doorn.

Following years of building his name via releases on cult trance labels, he began a long and successful relationship with scene leaders Anjunabeats in 2013. Over 20 originals and remixes later with Above & Beyond’s acclaimed label and he continues to be one of their most important artists, with some major plans in the works to elevate him to higher reaches still. His DJing has taken him across the UK, Europe, Asia, Middle East and Ibiza in recent times, and at one point he held the Guinness World Record for the longest DJ set in history, clocking in at 84 hours. He also recently broke the world record for playing a DJ set at the highest recorded altitude, playing at Mount Everest Base Camp at 5,600 metres above sea level.

A major compilation and world tour are in the works, with some incredible new tracks waiting in the wings ranging from pummelling, dirty techno workouts to euphoric, rave-inspired gems.

Collective States (individually known to those in the know as Dan Reid & Gary Bennetton) are Southampton based melodic techno producers and label managers. 

After their debut single “Krypton” went top 20 on Beatport in early 2017, Collective States began a residency at UK club “Switch,” and had within a few short months, supported the likes of Carl Cox, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Sasha, John Digweed, Joris Voorn, Hot Since 82, Annie Mac, Kolsch and Pete Tong. 
By their second release, Collective States immersive sound had started to turn heads, with “Planet Mongo” being picked up by Carl Cox & Monki for BBC Radio 1, as well as being supported widely by the likes of John Digweed, Groove Armada, Hot Since 82, James Zabiela, Eats Everything and Alan Fitzpatrick. 

With a hard drive full of unreleased material, Collective States have already penned tracks for future release on Hot Since 82’s & Alan Fitzpatrick’s label in 2018. As a popular golden figure once said “the possibility of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately 3,720 to 1” but the journey is just beginning for the duo from the South Coast.

At the tip of the spear of California's hard techno revolution sits Selective Response. A sharp, young alchemist and purveyor of devastatingly powerful, punk-infused, raw, high-paced techno that literally pulls its trousers down and pisses on the aforementioned rule book that the supposedly pioneering genre has made its bible for too long.

Favoured and championed by the likes of Dax J, Rebekah, I Hate Models, Perc, Cleric, Amelie Lens, and many more - Selective Response is on the front lines of hard energy techno, industrial, EBM, and electro. His attitude is hard to pinpoint — but when I asked him to do so — he said "of course, I can go harder".
