Japan’s Risa Taniguchi returns to Chris Liebing's CLR. The ‘Break It’ two-tracker marks her fourth appearance on the label.

Tokyo’s Risa Taniguchi returns to Chris Liebing’s CLR with the ‘Break It’ EP 29th August 2025. The two-tracker follows her previous outings on the label, 2024’s ‘Wakes From Coma’ and ‘So Loud’, which earned support from Dave Clarke, Kelly Lee Owens, and Luke Slater, and 2022’s ‘Acid Flesh’, in collaboration with Black Asteroid.

Title track ‘Break It’ sees Kneaded Pains, Second State, Mind Medizin, and core CLR artist Risa Taniguchi open with high-intensity built around pounding kicks and a searing synth stab. The tension is palpable as icy hats and bold low-end drive forward beneath evocative spoken vocals culminating in a dark, strobe-lit roller primed to lock in peak-time floors. There’s no respite with ‘Give Me Up’, a tense and relentless follow-up laced with razor-sharp percussion, unresolved loops, and a monstrous, rumbling bottom end. It’s precision-tooled Techno, designed to hit hard, both physically and mentally.

Founded by influential techno lynchpin Chris Liebing in 1999 and reemerging in 2021 after a five-year hiatus, Create Learn Repeat (CLR) has hosted a range of artists like Shlomi Aber, Dubfire, Flug, Bjarki, DJ Dextro and more while also focusing on developing newer acts in the scene such as The Southern, and Klint.

Laster Records launches with a powerful VA featuring Alarico, Yanamaste, Chontane and Roll Dann Spanish's techno movement force Laster expands its vision with the launch of Laster Records, inaugurating the label with a fierce various artists EP forged for peak-time madness and emotional depth. The debut release, Laster Records VA001, brings together four essential voices in modern techno: Alarico, Yanamaste, Chontane and Roll Dann, each contributing a distinctive cut to a shared narrative of intensity and evolution. The A-side opens with Alarico’s “Of Which Sugars”, a gritty, percussive storm of fast-paced techno, where tension builds through syncopated rhythms and distorted grooves. Following is Yanamaste’s “Disconnection”, a cerebral track infused with cold atmospheres, broken patterns and a sense of controlled chaos — reflecting the Georgian artist’s unmistakable mental approach. On the flip, Chontane delivers “Palindrome”, a futuristic and dynamic tool with flickering synth stabs and machine funk energy. The EP closes with Roll Dann’s “The Red House”, a cinematic and melancholic trip through layered textures and deep basslines, paying homage to the label’s own mythology. He has showcased his music in clubs like Smolna, Crackhouse, Ciało, Transformator, STK-47 and more.

DJ, producer, recording engineer, co-founder of Synapsa label. He began his adventure with music in 2015, during which he had the opportunity to play at such venues as Las Festival, Crackhouse, Ciało, Drugi Dom, Transformator, Wyspa Tamka, Cel, Schron and Techno Balkon. He is a graduate of the School of Modern Music in Wroclaw. He has worked with brands such as Underzone and Nektar Records, Obscuur, MOTZ, Märked and Transition. He had the opportunity to play with Vladimir Dubyshkin, Tarkno, TRYM, Clara Cuvé, Lacchesi, Vel, future.666, Sept, Steve RedHead, Eargasm God, Parfait, Janina, Handmade, Bloody Mary and many more. For him, music is a forum for expressing emotions, which means he doesn't like to lock himself within one genre. Although the dystopian rhythms are closest to his heart, he likes to experiment by combining different styles.

With the Scratch EP, Scottish techno powerhouse Gary Beck delivers four razor-sharp cuts that bring raw energy and dancefloor pressure to FJAAK’s label CROWD. Known for his unmistakable grooves and stripped-down power, Beck presents a no-frills EP that bridges classic techno aesthetics with forward momentum.

Opening with the single ‘French System’, the EP kicks off in full throttle. It’s a propulsive roller built around tough drums, catchy synths, a female vocal leading the way and Beck’s signature percussive tension. Title track ‘Scratch’ follows with a twitchy, angular rhythm that spirals around a fragmented vocal motif and bold machine-funk energy with tense breaks leading to ecstatic drops.
