Ricardo Baez is back on his Tropical Animals imprint with another blistering EP of body-shaking house tracks.

Tropical Animals was launched off the back of Baez’s party series which started in his native Florence back in 2010. It hosted a special Carl Craig livestream during the lockdown and is well known for only inviting connoisseur DJs from Jayda G to Pender Street Steppers. Baez is a resident at the night and always serves up his vision of alternative house, disco and techno with plenty of colourful synths and characterful details. As well as at home, he has played at clubs across the world from Tresor to Watergate to Corsica Studios and released on labels such as the always on-point Toy Tonics. The Tropical Animals label has featured music from leading lights and musical greats including Daniele Baldelli, Whitesquare & DJ Octopus.

The no-nonsense 'Find a Club' opens in arresting fashion with the bustle of a busy city street and the sound of distant pounding drums. You're then dropped right into the centre of the party with sleazy vocals, barreling kicks and techno percussion that soon make you move. The excellent 'Odissea' is so raw it will make your eyes water with its blistering breaks and crashing hits all underpinned by a dark and broody bassline. 'This Track is a Trap' rounds out with a deeper techno vibe, rolling drums and fat, smooth bass that steers you down a shadowy rabbit hole.

These are powerful, muscular tracks that jump out of the speakers and grab your attention from the off and once again demonstrate the talent and range of Baez and Tropical Animals.

PREMIERE: Ricardo Baez - Find A Club [Tropical Animals]

Raised in the Irish raving party scene, now relocated in Newcastle, Ben Prophet is one of the talents to keep an eye on.

His "Hyper Funk EP" perfectly represents his dominant sounds and the main track style, mixing gritty, piercing drums with fragmented sounding vocals and drums to create a raw blend of techno-induced beats. 

The remix of Tommy 2000 gives a DnB touch to the EP, rolling drums and crumbling sounds command the sound of his re-interpretation. 

The other tracks "GTFB", "In Too Deep" and "Get Up And Dance" are three speedy raw techno dancefloor-oriented tracks, three useful weapons if you need something to use to burn your soundsystem!

Presenting the 'No Face no Case' EP by Suspect Raver! It's the debut release by Suspect Raver and is also the first EP released under the Filth Inc. banner. We hope you enjoy :)

About 'No Face no Case' EP -

Hailing from Sydney Australia, Suspect Raver has seen first hand the effect that tough laws have had on the local nightlife over the past few years.

Although it was dire for most, there was still a resolute band of underground music heads that kept the soundsystems thumping throughout the weekend evenings at determined and unyielding venues as well as via "illegal" raves.

These tracks are a homage to those times and a push for more of the same energy in the future.

Castles' angelic vocal sample drives the listener into a trance, while Run it Straight and Rave to the Rhythm are two unforgiving big room thumpers. Finally Warehouse Mobb uplifts the energy with a melancholic and reflective hook and interview sample from one of hip hops' realists.
