Orbita  [@orbita-berlin],  the Berlin-based collective of DJs and promoters,  promote through their events and musical direction what they like to call “Adult Dance Music,” a concept that pushes back against instant gratification and brings a more mature sensibility to the dance floor.

For the first episode of their Pluto Radio residency, they invited Norwegian producer and DJ Henning Severud, aka @Telephones. After more than ten years in Berlin, he has become a key figure of the underground scene. Through his label, European Carryall, Henning channels a singular character: dreamy, life-affirming, and sensual, qualities deeply cherished in the balearic scene. His monthly radio show, New Massage, on Refuge Worldwide is likewise a real treat.

Ok folks, podcast number 7 is here. This one is from the enigmatic Floor Length Skirts. 

In a culture of instant gratification, where an instagram reel is now a legitimate source to hear new music and folks seem to demand knowledge simply because it exists, DJs are often incredulously asked, WHERE do you find these records? The answer lies not in a shadowy realm where djs fight demons and overcome obstacles in order to unlock the secrets of music. But rather they are the result of hours and hours and hours of obsessive work, this particular form of compulsive behaviour expertly typified here by Floor Length Skirts. This no-stone-left-unturned approach is demonstrated over nearly four hours of mind blowing records. Yet this is not just an exhibition of a collector's wares, but a beautifully thoughtful piece of free flowing art. The mixing seems spontaneous and surprising whilst maintaining a seamless driving quality, drawing the listener into this strange world. A list of humorous genre names to attempt to describe the selection would be essentially futile, instead we urge you to keep an open mind and enjoy this trip from one of the most exciting DJs around.
