His 2011 debut album Music Academy showcases the gifted talent of rapper G.S.C.   His stage name abbreviated for (God’s Step Child) was not created out of frustrations due to religious beliefs, but to describe the trials and tribulations that he has had to face in his life.    
 
A major influence on his upbringing in the Tampa Bay area can be heard on his album’s singles such as Dream, Good Morning and Club Goin Crazy, while still reminding his fans about the obstacles he has endured due to poverty on his single Dare to hope.
