Heavyweight Scottish production duo @6thboroughproject have a wicked new EP 'Rhythm and Truth' landing this coming Friday on Jimpster's brilliant @delusionsofgrandeur label. Delivering again on the trademark deep disco meets groove infused house sound that has made them cult favourites across the globe it's a delight of a triple tracker.

To celebrate the release we asked them to step up to the LV decks for our Selectors series and as you might expect it's a sublime mix packed with groove aplenty.

Ahead of our appearance on the 8th October at Defected Malta where we host a house foundations (86-96) stage, Stuart Patterson has compiled a mix of some Faith favourites from the period.  100% vinyl it takes in early vocals from Intense, Tammy Banks and Velma Wright, deepness from Precious and Swing 52.  Darker and tribal sounds from Funky Green Dogs and Kiwi Dreams, a touch of wild pitch from DJ Pierre in his Phuture Scope guise and a drop of acid from The Endless Poker. Plus plenty more early house joints that help shaped the house music phenomenon  that still stands strong today.

We're really excited to bring you one of London's most exciting DJs currently bubbling up through the scene. Drawing inspiration from sounds of the 70s discotheque, this selector keeps people moving with mixes of Disco, Old School House, and an eclectic selection of Vocal and Dance tunes. Influenced by 90s music from New York and Chicago, MiNNA combines her joy and curiosity of music & dancing by finding new tracks and digging through old records, which she began doing from the age of 12. 

"For this mix I wanted to open up with a few Disco gems then head to some more Housey flavours, as well as dipping into some Vocal and Garage House I’ve found digging recently. Currently I’m really into proper Old-school 90s House and wanted to play some tracks I love from some iconic labels such as Madhouse Records, Soulfuric, Z Records and BPM King St. Sounds. Glenn has over 25 years of DJing experience that has seen him play many clubs and festivals, including UK festivals Southport Weekender, Liverpool Disco Festival and recently Berlin. He has been a vinyl collector since the mid-nineties and his passion for finding and playing superb music never stops.

As part of Dublins Groovement Soul collective, he was involved in running successful club nights in Dublin since 2003 bringing Dj’s Kev Beadle, Phil Asher, Lay Far, Recloose, Bob Jones, Mad Matts, Thatmanmonkz and many more to Ireland.

In 2012 Glenn began his journey into music production which has seen him work with U.K. House music legend Ashley Beedle (Africanz On Marz) on four releases.
Glenn’s Body & Soul Ep, Namida Ep and Special Ep all on (F*CLR Records ) gained support from Dj’s like Laurant Garnier, DJ Moxie, Joey Negro, Dj Cosmo, Dj Nature and many more with Francois K playing Namida (Africanz on Marz remix) on his World Wide FM show.

To date, Glenn has released music on F*CLR Music, Deeper Groove Recordings, YORE, Wolf Music, Ascension On Wax and Local Talk. His recent release on Ascension On Wax has House heads turning worldwide. This includes a superb remix from Mark Hand. Upcoming work includes the prestigious label Local Talk Records 13 years later compilation, remixes for Dj Craig Smith, Dj Jauche and Dj Gratts on Brighton’s acclaimed Wolf Music.
