This piece was written for the asylum scene for the RWCMD production of The Effect directed by Andrew Whyment, set in the round in the Bute Theatre. 

Whilst the two characters explore their ideas of love in an abandoned asylum, the track played through the surrounds whilst a reverb effect was used in the space. The slow-moving organ-like synth was chosen to give the feeling the characters had transcended into this very different world, and to give the feeling of a much vaster theatrical space. 

In a contrast to the more medical sounds from earlier in the play, the more naturalistic sounds play with the idea of nature and nurture and the freedom the two characters seek.
