Here we go with the fifty-first installment of our Concrete podcast series coming from one of our residents and collective members: @djsaunameister .

... not having a clue what is going to face him moving to Berlin for art studies at the age of 20.. Techno slowly became a part of his life.
Reflecting the cycles of everyday life, his passion for dancing through the nights slowly merged into a need to create this kind of sound images himself...

Jeff, dug deep into the club scene of Berlin and made friends with one of the concrete founders @stvyl at Sisyphos, who soon encouraged him to take his approach on productions more serious and try himself with out with mixing. 

One year ago he started mixing with vinyls and his passion grew even stronger. Becoming an inherent part of the collective his abilities could be tested soon on the concrete underground raves and vinyl only open airs of the befriended @veiled_sound collective.

Blending 90's tribal, trance with trippy new school cuts in his mixes, he slowly enters the soundscapes he was looking for during those hot' n' sweaty club nights.

Based in Amsterdam, VSSR is inspired by all kinds of electronic music. During lockdown, he spent his time crafting the sound he loves the most: fast-paced, hypnotizing and groovy techno. This resulted in his first release on Complot Records.

He is co-founder of ANTIDOTE Amsterdam, a techno platform promoting likeminded upcoming artists. They aim to organize post-covid raves. VSSR is driven by only one desire: to make people dance.

Love, peace and unity – the famous words of a movement that very much attracted Rove Ranger as a child to electronic music. Listening to early Schranz and Techno back then, it is no wonder that the sound of Rove Ranger is defined by fast-paced percussions and high energy.
Starting out as a producer in late 2007, he extended his musical spectrum over the years from EBM and Industrial to the likes of modern Techno. Always striving in musical variation, he started Rove Ranger aside his previous projects in early 2019 by focusing on sounds who he admired back as a child. Rough, dirty and compromiseless rhythms coupled with hypnotic melodies are just a few words to describe his vision of techno, of which he makes no exception on as a music selector too.
Since 2019 he is also part of the VISION EKSTASE techno collective with its origins in Stuttgart. Together, he and his friends create events, art and music free of any conventions with great success. Breaking the rules and exploring new grounds is what defines VISION EKSTASE as well as Rove Ranger.

Laure Croft is a force to be reckoned with. After brief stints in the house and hardcore scene, the 26-year old Dutchie finally settled into what she feels to be her true musical home; the underground (queer) techno scene. 

Feeling safe in this new and exciting environment, Laure started to spin records, supported and surrounded by great people, and instantly realized that this is what she wanted to do. 

Her musical philosophy is both pragmatic and beautifully simple; it has to keep you going! With as little breaks as possible, Laure takes her dancers on a wild ride of stripped down, fast-paced 4x4 sexy bounciness, most records stemming from the time period of 1995-2005. 

Having been told many times by male colleagues that women simply don’t have what it takes, Laure advocates for more inclusive lineups in all regards, so that great talent can also be seen and especially heard. 

For Laure empathy is key, but also remember to always keep it sexy.

Berlin residing @JuriHeidemann is one to watch in 2022. Bringing the essence of techno to live with raw loops and lively textures.

For the last mix of the year we have the Berlin based DJ Kyly soothing your ears for Christmas. Being part of the Shockwerk crew he has showed his quality numerous times on their events. His record collection is one to get very excited about and that is why we had to have him record a mix for us.    

The Turkish roots of the DJ are displayed in his swinging style of mixing no nonsense colourful tribal Techno with a strong aversion towards dark rave. The records in this mix with rumbling drums and funky samples get you right in the mood. 1 hour and 13 minutes of pure tribal bliss.

Earwax is one of these young and talented artists.
Italian born, He has released up on different labels, including A R T S, Planet Rhythm and Pushmaster Discs.

Grew up with music, firstly as DJ and then as Producer, he moved the first steps on the techno and house scene, driven by his love for the groove and vinyls.
After many releases as Domenico Petrosino, he created a new music project (Earwax) focused on representing the vibes of the old-school Techno with modern freshest sounds.

His last release "Attraverso EP", wich appeared on Planet Rythm, is a fucking bomb. It's such a pleasure for us to make you listen one of his podcast today.
Groove, fat synths with right kick is the key.
