Biography:
Henrik Söderström is a Swedish artist and musician mainly known for his musical output as Händer som vårdar (HSV). In the spring of 2016 he put out his debut LP on Gothenburg based label Järtecknet. Other works include tapes for Posh Isolation and Obscurex as well as several compilation appearances.
This mix is somewhat vaguely themed around marginal & DIY releases, mainly cassettes. A form of tribute to the industrial/noise underground that has informed Söderström’s understanding of experimental sound since his early teens. Rough cuts, rough tape sound, the ambition being a diverse mix of different styles, epochs and locations though ending up slightly slanted towards early-mid 00’s Sweden. Enjoy.
