About Rural Beats
Rural Beats is the new EP that consists of 4 tracks by The Peronists that sound like a ﬁne mix of Argentine folkore, lo-ﬁ hip hop, downtempo, rural environments, electronic and organic electronic music.
Cumbia Andina (Rural Beats focus track) is a collaboration between Argentine producers The Peronists (Fede Randall) and Chancha Via Circuito (Pedro Canale).
Both producers have been part of the Argentine collective and label ZZK Records at the beginning of the millennium (since 2006) at an early age and both have shared their tracks in various compilations referring to the new sound of Argentine folktronics: ZZK Sound Vol. 1 and ZZK Sound Vol. 2 (ZZK Records, Argentina) and The Future Sound of Buenos Aires (Waxploitation, USA) and Nueva Cumbia Argentina - The Buenos Aires Implosion! (Soot Records, USA).

About The Peronists
From the age of 13 he began to ask his family to help him become a musician, since he had an obsession with sound and radio, he does not know very well where that concern came from, but it was always there and is still latent. His goals are to leave a mark of innovation in new urban genres, in stagnant and forgotten folk genres and make people dance as a producer and DJ, and make the listener have a good time.
Among his outstanding experiences are his participation in the Red Bull Music Academy in New York in 2013 where he took masterclasses among others, with Brian Eno. He released his music on labels such as ZZK Records, Desmo Records and Folcore Records. He currently works in sound design, composing and producing beats for the Red Bull Batalla de Gallos and for his personal music projects.

Cumbia Andina (focus track de Rural Beats) es una colaboración entre los productores argentinos The Peronists (Fede Randall) y Chancha Via Circuito (Pedro Canale).
Ambos productores han formado parte del colectivo y sello argentino ZZK Records a principios del milenio (desde 2006) en su temprana edad y ambos han compartido sus tracks en varias compilaciones referentes del nuevo sonido de la folktrónica de Argentina: ZZK Sound Vol. 1 y ZZK Sound Vol. 2 (ZZK Records, Argentina) y The Future Sound of Buenos Aires (Waxploitation, USA) y Nueva Cumbia Argentina - The Buenos Aires Implosion!  (Soot Records, USA).

Acerca de The Peronists
Desde los 13 años que comenzó a pedirle a su familia que le ayuden a ser músico, ya que tenía obsesión con el sonido y la radio, no sabe muy bien de dónde vino esa inquietud, pero siempre estuvo ahí y aún está latente. Sus  objetivos son dejar una huella de innovación en géneros urbanos nuevos, en géneros folklóricos estancados y olvidados y hacer bailar a las personas como productor y DJ, y hacer pasar un buen rato al oyente.
Entre sus experiencias destacadas ﬁguran su participación en la Red Bull Music Academy de New York en 2013 donde tomó masterclasses entre otros, con Brian Eno. Publicó su música en sellos como ZZK Records, Desmo Records y Folcore Records. Actualmente trabaja en diseño de sonido, compone y produce beats para la Batalla de Gallos de Red Bull y para sus proyectos musicales personales.

Muñeco De Nieve

Mash-up with The Necks. I have provided the TR-909 drum machine and bassline. This track is now rock solid to me. The organ playing from The Necks is just masterfully and gorgeously done. For some reason I have always found the percussion, despite not being in sync, working its way along beautifully over the TR-909 machine. For me they just work fine together. Originally made for my own personalised dj sets.

Barda ingresa en el universo Fértil y se despacha con 7 temas de alto vuelo en un álbum titulado ’Gruta’. Manteniendo aproximaciones minimalistas Cecilia Gebhard nos invita a un viaje mental por las cavernas y los escenarios argentinos, en donde el güiro de la cumbia se conjuga con los cordones montañosos, las cuerdas del ukelele se mezclan con los sonidos percusivos latinoamericanos y la poesía y voz de la cantante Wenceslada se inmiscuyen en el mundo de la canción. Mención aparte merece el sonido del Didgeridoo, ejecutado por Yoco Perez de Arce, abriendo el disco y generando una atmósfera oscuramente enérgica, íntima y a la vez rabiosa. Llegando al final, el laberinto de la gruta se abre hacia caminos divergentes en el tema tripartito titulado ‘Prismas en la Montaña’ y SidiRum, otro de los nuevos talentos argentinos, ofrece su remix de Núcleo lleno de luz diurna, sonidos profundos, envolventes y una bocanada de aire fresco.

Barda enters Fértil's musical universe and puts out seven top-nocht tracks in an album entitled 'Gruta'. Keeping a minimalist approach over danceable beats, Cecilia Gebhard invites us to a mental journey through Argentinian fictional caverns and stages, where the güiro combines cumbia with mountain ranges, where ukulele strings are mixed with Latin percussive sounds as the poetry and voice of the singer WENCESLADA meddle in the nu-folk song world in 'Nudo de un Árbol'. Special mention deserves the sound of the didgeridoo executed by Yoco Perez de Arce, at the beginning of the LP,  generating a darkly energetic, furious yet intimate atmosphere. Near the end of 'Gruta', the labyrinth of the fictional cave opens onto divergent paths in the tripartite track entitled 'Prisms on the Mountain' and SidiRum, another new Argentinean talents, offers its 'Núcleo' remix with luminous, deep, surround sounds, a breath of fresh air.

Territorio Comanche cava y resucita sus raíces azotando graves profundos y electrónica sobre las pieles de tambores colombianos y el calor del caribe, estrictamente para hacer las caderas rebotar. El EP contiene remixes de cuatro de los principales productores de la electrónica actual latinoamericana, El Buga ft. Zambo, Andrés Digital, Pigmalião, y Mr. Toé, cada uno imprimiendo su propia magia y sonoridad al tema original.

Las primeras décadas del Siglo XX atestiguaron importantes migraciones sonoras: desde Cuba y Jamaica llegaron a Colombia decenas de expertos cultivadores de caña para trabajar en los ingenios Central Colombia (en el caribeño departamento de Bolívar) y Sautatá (en el departamento del Chocó), trayendo con ellos ritmos como el changüi y el son, cuyos formatos fueron rápidamente acogidos y transformados por los trabajadores provenientes de comunidades como San Basilio ri Palenge, desde donde el Sexteto Tabalá le daría un giro inspirado en tradiciones musicales como el lumbalú y el pajarito para crear un sonido nuevo en el que se encuentran distintas raíces de la diáspora africana, según nos cuenta Lucas Silva de Palenque Records.

En este segundo volumen de los encuentros entre Palenque Records y Llorona Records, les presentamos el clásico Ofelia, en la interpretación del Sexteto Tabalá, revisitado desde las técnicas de producción del dub para explorar una nueva y profunda dimensión de las músicas afrocolombianas, que trasciende el estallido rítmico de la fiesta para sumergirse en un sonido meditabundo y ritual, que transforma la narrativa misma de esta canción. 

Al respecto nos cuenta Cerrero: buscar un sonido distinto en la mezcla es cambiar el foco de atención, poner al frente elementos que pasan desapercibidos y que transforman la historia de la canción. Estamos revisando el catálogo de Palenque Records para presentarlo de nuevo desde un sonido distinto, aportar también a la escena dubbera también desde los sonidos de Palenque y ese pedazo de la historia de cómo llego África a América.

"The first decades of the 20th century witnessed important sonic migrations for the afro sound in Colombia. Sugar cane farmers from Cuba and Jamaica came to the caribbean and pacific coast regions of the country to work in the plantations and brought with them rhythms such as Changui and Son. Locals from pure afro-descendent towns such as San Basilio ri Palenge quickly learned and transformed those rhythms injecting their own flavor coming from powerful musical expressions such as Lumbalú and Pajarito to create a new sound. El Sexteto Tabalá is known as the leading band preserving and playing this "Sexteto" style that arouse from that culture clash in which different roots from the african diaspora came together in the souther region of Cartagena - Colombia" says Lucas Silva from Palenque Records.

This second volume of the collaboration between Palenque Records and Llorona Records presents the classic tune Ofelia by El Sexteto Tabalá revisited in a deep dub version by Cerrero and invited trumpet player El León Párdo. Searching to explore a new dimension of the Afro - Colombian sound, this take on the original recording goes beyond the party fever to dive into a more contemplative ritual sound that looks into another side of the song.

"The idea of a dub mix is to direct the attention of the listener to the hidden elements of the track, strip it down to their tribal core essence and tell the story in a different way. We are working with Lucas in revisiting some of Palenques Records catalog  classics and present it again with a new sound. This side of the history of how Africa settled in America hadn´t gone through the amazing experiment of dub mixing until now" says Diego Gómez aka Cerrero.

EARTH NIGHT is an initiative harnessing the energy of the global nightlife scene to raise awareness and funds for climate action. On April 19th, 2019, we're throwing our second annual celebration, with events all over the planet and our first musical release. 

This compilation features nearly 60 tracks by artists from 12 countries. Covering a wide range of styles in electronic music, it is a bold response to the commitment our community has toward the challenge of Climate Change. 

Proceeds from all EARTH NIGHT activities will fund projects focused on effective climate solutions through direct partnerships. This includes work at the nexus of renewable energy, health and education with Little Sun, boosting the global climate youth movement with Earth Guardians, and offsetting the impact of DJ air travel with CO2 Logic.

El duo colombiano integrado por David y Andrés rescatan y difunden la tradicionalidad de las músicas tropicales y latinoamericanas en general, fusionándolas con ritmos y elementos modernos. Un trabajo cultural a lo largo de la historia musical de las regiones poco conocidas y con poca difusión en medios tradicionales, para que estas suenen en espacios de ocio y esparcimiento, con el fin de mostrar la otra cara del sonido latinoamericano y de dar a conocer el cúmulo de valores que poseen.

Su sesiones integran instrumentos orgánicos con beats digitales. También exploran continuamente sonidos creados a partir de raíces tradicionales con un matiz digital. Ofreciendo un  un show visual en directo, interactivo y dinámico. 

El show integra elementos multiforma y multicolor inspirados por los viajes terrenales y ancestrales. Una idea y un proyecto encaminado a atacar los sentidos por todos sus frentes disparando sonoridades agresivamente cargadas de buena vibra, luz y esperanza.

The DJ duo Guacamayo Tropical have been taking all the afrolatin flavour in their suitcase, to share with dancing people from Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Finland, England, Portugal, Slovenia, Austria, Sweden, Belgium and France. 

Our sessions are characterized by the integration of organic musical instruments such as Colombian gaita, tamboras and djembe, and even typical and native dances mixed up with digital beats. Also, we often explore new sounds created from traditional roots with a slightly digital edge... All of which is combined with completed projections, previously created according to the place and type of event. On occasion, we even display an interactive and dynamic live visual show.

Guacamayo Tropical brings sounds and images a little closer from far beyond to make up for these lightless, colorless and tasteless times. We bring hearty, lively rhythms and flood the dance floor with a colorful wave of love, joy and Cumbia! Our project will surprise everyone because it is composed of multi-formed and multicolored elements. Inspired by earthly ancestral trips, they show us a path, an idea and a project aimed at challenging the senses on all fronts, shooting out sounds explosively charged with good vibes, light and hope.
