Yisi Calibre and Darwin El Independiente are both bound by their passion for hip-hop, and their love as a couple. Their themes tackle the psychology of the neighborhood by means of social narratives; commenting on elements in their relationship, racial identity, and gender distinction. Through their work, they embody the perfect combination of both genders within the movement of Cuban hip-hop.

In Yoruba, a people, culture and language prevalent in Cuba, Igboro means “The Street.” As Kamerum tells it, this is the school where he saw most of his fellow musicians form and grow. The title is his way of honoring both his Yoruban heritage and philosophy, as well as the school that taught him so well.

As for the music, Kamerum describes it as “AfroCuban Trap” and “ElectroCuban Roots”–accurate descriptions. His music mixes the bounce and flow of Trap with the musical hallmarks of Cuba, both traditional and modern. And it’s all wrapped up in electronic, Afrofuturistic production. His lyrics touch on both the contemporary conditions in Cuba and trade in metaphors from his Yoruban heritage–his way of transmitting the knowledge of his ancestors on to future generations.

Mixing the Niño Funny caribbean style with his enviable and beastly flow, the Sigrid's urban melody and the majestic DJ Jigüe production,  we are bringing to you this Afro Deep House sound from Guampara Music Studios.
The track was shown by first time one year ago, on the DMZ Pace Train Festival, being one of the hits of our Korea's tour. Now and it's available on the red , including a video with our unforgettable experience on South Korea.
