 When it comes to the story of the moon it always begins with the slow flow of growth and release. For something to grow it must start as a seed, it’s in that exact moment when the moon’s journey begins... and here she is sometimes unseen and sometimes shining bright. 
 As the first glimpse of the moonlight hits earth and reflects upon the water we feel the magic surrounding us , flowing thru us, from us to us.

➳ Welcome to our cycle ceremony in which we are honoring the time beyond here and there. We are about to shift our feelings and visions into the existence of the whole. This ceremony contains four different phases and captures the concept of Kalpa. The time the universe needs to grow, to pass away, and to return (by the Hinduism & Buddhism believes)

Let the ceremony begin

🪐Phase 1: Appear – The Kalpa of Formation

Deep down in the universe is where everything starts and ends at the same time. Each ending symbolizes a new beginning and the world as we know slowly starts to be shaped. It is told that the wind grows a windy circle which forms the base of the world. It is covered by a crystal blue water cycle which is topped by a golden circle. Seas, mountains, and the magical Mount Sumeru are about to rise and stay🏔️

🌴Phase 2: Flourish – The Kalpa of Continuance

The foundation is set and living as we know starts to shine. Generations are following generations while the world continuous to exist in a stable state along with its inhabitants. Naturally the world grows and shrinks in its variations and species🦩

🌋Phase 3: Disintegrate – The Kalpa of Decline

The glory times are over, the last bread has been eaten and the world slowly but surely starts to collapse. A legend says it is destroyed by the three greater calamities caused by water, fire and wind🔥

🌑Phase 4: Die – The Kalpa of Disintegration

The world as we know doesn’t exist anymore. There is nothing and everything at the same time. We are again deep down in the universe and a new world is slowly getting ready to rise and shine.

The fascinating concept of Kalpa: 
➳     Four phases
➳     Each contains 20 small Kalpas 
➳     Each small Kalpa is said to last nearly sixteen million years

Octo Friends #26 - Guaraci

Pedro Guedes also known as Guaraci, is a cosmic traveler who navigates between the lines of space and time.
Recovering and blending cultural elements of our history, he tries to stimulate feelings that connect our subjective being with our essential origin.
Multitasking: DJ, music producer, tattoo artist, digital artist. Guedes, who is only 24 years old, is an artist based in São Paulo and also leads the Brazilian parties 'Caixa Esquerda' and 'Bicudinhos no Lounge', in addition to being currently immersed in the musical curatorship of the newly born netlabel SENSO. In musical production, Guedes uses Guaraci as a pseudonym, where he gives artistic life to a project with a strong sense of cultural and ethnic identity, which possibly can also contribute to and feed his other artistic facets.
Feeling is being, the moment is a sensation, living in sensitivity, this is the organic movement of existence.

Mixtape Psy Dub/Psy Chill

Multitasking: DJ, musical producer, tattooist, plastic-digital artist. That's Guedes, with only twenty-three years, the Sao Paulo based artist is also running the Brazilian parties 'Caixa Esquerda' and 'Bicudinhos no Lounge' besides being currently immersed in the musical curating activities of the newborn netlabel SENSO. Regarding musical production, Guedes uses Guaraci as an alias, where he gives artistic life to a project with a strong sense of cultural and ethnic identity, which possibly can also contribute and feed his other artistic facets.

Guaraci contributes to this 188th edition which was recorded in his home studio, with Ableton Live and midi controllers. In the mixtape he collects several sound atmospheres, concentrates and directs the workflow in rhythmic progression. With changes in bpms, overlapping loops and a wild desire to explore the groove, the selection of almost 65 minutes is a translucent and tuning reflection of his daily musical research, the story is told from reference sounds. The result is a sound plot full of synesthetic, sensitive and psychedelic immersions.
