It’s a cover of “The Night” originally written and performed by one of my all time favorite bands “Morphine”. 
I just recorded the piano and the vocals live together while I was just playing the song and after that I put the rest on the tracks and went for it. This cover comes nowhere close to the original obviously and my respect and gratitude towards Mark Sandman, Dana Colley, Jerome Deupree & Billy Conway is infinite. Their music, sound and songs had a huge influence on me. And it will continue to do so. Always inspiring and beautifully pure. Magic.

To cover this great song of Rodriguez was a pretty silly idea I had about a year ago when discussing a potential collaboration with Bruce Conover. I recorded this bare acoustic version as some kind of initial draft to get Bruce started, thinking that he would be the one singing in the final version, so this would stay between the two of us. But the project got stalled and we both lost track of it until I came across this recording again this week, and thought: why not posting it as is? This might be another silly idea but I have Bruce's blessing so let's do this :)

2020 წლის 26 თებერვალს თბილისის სახელმწიფო კონსერვატორიის დიდ დარბაზში გაიმართა ამ ალბომის პრეზენტაცია-კონცერტი, რომელშიც მონაწილეობდნენ ანსამბლები – „ადილეი“, „ანჩისხატი“, „დიდგორი“, „კონსერვატორიის ანსამბლი“, „პატარა კახი“, „სახიობა“ და სოლო შემსრულებლები.

გთავაზობთ მუსიკალურ ნიმუშებს, რომლებიც შემსრულებლებმა შეისწავლეს და ააჟღერეს ზემოთხსენებული ჩანაწერებიდან.

Presentation-Concert of audio album Discover Georgia Through Traditional Music was held on 26th of February 2020 at Tbilisi State Conservatoire Grand Hall. This audio album of Tbilisi state conservatoire archive recordings was published in 2018 specially for Frankfurt book fair. Old recordings from this unique album were performed by ensembles – „Adilei“, „Anchiskhati“, „Didgori“, „Conservatoire Ensemble“, „Patara Kakhi“, „Sakhioba“ and Solo performers.
