This series of podcast intend to explore music curated on the outskirts of the mainstream spectrum through our guests residential selection, giving a sneak peak in their tastes & influences, might it be for listening and/or for dancing.

Our first guest is Jonas Köksal, co-founder of O Mato. For the last 8 years the multi-disciplinary collective from whom Jonas has been the creative backbone has been organizing social gatherings and experiences from Berlin to Brazil. 

Introduced to music threw his father’s digitales record collection, his first self aware purchase of music was 50 Cent’s « Get rich or die tryin ». 
Wondering then between punk, reggae & hip hop during his teenage years, he became curious about where the samples came from and depened his jazz, funk, library & world music culture. Years later, after thinking house/techno was loopy & boring when first introduced, he got sucked into it after experiencing it with the proper setting. 

For this first résidence, he crafted a one hour selection of US hip hop.
