Of mixed heritage but born and raised in North London, Sol Ové was brought up on a combination of jazz, soul, hip-hop, reggae and his first love, drum and bass - creating his own path musically. An obsessive vinyl collector across genres, he is fast becoming known for Stripped Back Sounds - his curated nights of minimal and deep house co-founded with his brother and life-long friends. 


With a background in marketing, production & modelling, Sol took it upon himself to follow his true love of DJing and sharing music, whilst building an honest and passionate party to show off Europe and the UK’s best emerging talent. Stripped Back Sounds Takeover will give Voices Radio listeners a true taste of the brains behind Stripped Back Sounds whilst taking you on a sonic journey, showcasing the plethora of influences and climate of music they have lived in.


The timeless selections, and deep appreciation for all music creates adventurous genre-bending sets filled with groove-laden beats and obscure gems. Stripped Back Sounds has had the pleasure of showcasing some of the most in demand house and minimal DJ’s in the scene, from the likes of Mihai Pol, Techu, Kearun, Silat Beksi and Lo:za.
