All tracks have elements of Kerrie’s signature gritty machine funk sound, and carry her notable influences from Detroit / UK techno especially the Birmingham sound. Gnarly sci-fi infused sound design meets a raw stomping groove, the ‘It Takes Grit’ EP is aimed directly at the dancefloor. This one bangs!

Definitive Recordings is thrilled to announce the reissue of “Seriously”, a beloved house classic by Jetstream, the alias of acclaimed producer Karl E. Kowalski. Originally released in 1992, “Seriously” returns in a remastered five-track EP that revives the magic of its early 90s roots.

The EP opens with Jetstream’s own remix of “Seriously”, delivering a modernized, deeper take on the track’s signature groove. This is followed by the original version, a quintessential slice of 90s house music that still captivates with its infectious rhythm and undeniable energy. For those seeking a more stripped- back approach, Jetstream’s “Dodgy Dub” offers a reduced, dub-heavy rendition, pushing the track into a more minimal, hypnotic direction while maintaining its core vibe.

The EP also features a standout remix by Richie Hawtin, operating under his F.U.S.E. alias. Hawtin brings his mastery to “Seriously”, creating a remix that blends house and techno in a sleek, pulsating manner, perfect for deeper, late-night sets. Closing out the EP is a remix by Mark Goodliff, who appears here as Mr. Clubman. Goodliff’s take on “Seriously” injects a classic house piano riff, adding a vibrant, uplifting feel to the track, making it a must-play for any house purist.

Each version on this EP highlights a different facet of classic house and deep house, reflecting the genre’s diversity and timelessness. Since the beginning of 2019, Furious Frank has noticeably been picking up the pace of his studio output and we thank him for it. Following a well-received string of EP releases on Butter Sessions, Paper-Cuts and Global Skywatch, the Melbourne-based producer sets another milestone step into uncharted territories with the launch of his Mind Dance label.

Titled ‘Infinity Pool’, Furious Frank opens the label’s catalog with a diverse set of high quality, mutating dream hazes. Touching on early ’90s acid, electro and trance, the four track EP is a throbbing ride through energetic breaks, analog drums and 303 acid lines, which builds upon ethereal suspense and edges the mind towards euphoric transcendence.
