Ekoboy is a Greek DJ and producer known for his raw, quirky signature house style. He has released on Repopulate Mars, Desert Hearts Records and Lost Records and comes correct again with this new one. 

Cant Feel A Thing is a peak time house jam that builds with edgy chord stabs and slamming bass. The drums and fills all bring extra spice, and a fire vocal shoots out of the mix up next to big piano stabs to really get those hands in the air. 

This is a superb single from this vital house tastemaker.

Among those set up by the series was long-time friend of Defected Dennis Ferrer and South London trio Disciples, making for a powerful but perhaps unexpected transatlantic partnership. With both artists boasting impressive accolades that include platinum-selling records as well as bona fide underground anthems, they enlisted the help of acclaimed songwriter James Yuill to create ‘Whisper’. With its ethereal vocal, atmospheric keys and memorable guitar strings, married together by a club-friendly bassline, it’s no surprise this exquisitely produced debut would catch the attention of Defected’s Simon Dunmore, who now gives the track a full release on the imprint.

We couldn't start the new year more positively than with this incredibly unique disco, not disco, feel-good statement from House Music grandmaster Phil Fuldner, who we finally welcome back on Mother Recordings.

In this track, Phil quotes himself and plays around with a finely twisted synth line on a tingling 80s style bass line bed, in which the flawless guys from Raumakustik 
also play an important part with their creative input. 

We could have set off this wonderfully playful, and light-footed rocket only in winter, and then go crazy to this song at our favorite open airs till summer. But we are convinced that we will still be dancing to this banger in September 2021...and beyond!

Paul Anthony and Zach Bletz, known professionally as Gettoblaster, are two American house and techno producers from Chicago and Detroit who have established themselves on the DFTD and Dirtybird labels. Now they serve up another of their party-primed house bangers on the always explosive Superfett label.

H O U S E feat. Missy is a big tune with vast, bouncing drums. The off-kilter piano stabs bring real movement and energy and the vocal is a soulful one delivered with an ice cool attitude. Noodling bass ties it all together, and smart filters add tension that builds, pulls back, then explodes once more.

This is another sure fire anthem from Gettoblaster and Superfett.
