The Garden (Samuel L Session Remix)

Norbert Thunder @norbert-thunder⚡ is an Electro-Techno / EBM / Electroclash producer and liveact performer. If there would be a term "Glampunk to the bone", then he would fulfill the term pretty much. His sound is an avantgarde and rebellious glam fueled elegant and dirty Electro-Techno, just think about the aesthetics and visual dominance of the early 2000s electroclash era. Although he is lived the electroclash period completely in the early 2000s, visited so many great parties in between 2002-2005 with acts like David Carretta, Anthony Rother, Dj. Hell, Alter Ego, Green Velvet, Tiga, T. Raumschimere or John Starlight, his debut 12" EP called "Fembot Actress" is just released at the end of 2022, on the quality french techno label ParTouT rec., where there such names released previously, like Juan Atkins, Orlando Voorn, Chris Korda, or -=UHU=-.

The EP's lead track "Fembot Actress", and the track from the B side of the EP called "Groove, Style, Lights, Euphoria" were quite huge club hits and festival favourites during the years 2022 and 2023, played by a few established and great deejays, like Omar at Houghton 2022, or Binh at Surreal Park Brazil. He released another 12" vinyl recently at the spring of 2024, called "Leather In Outer Space EP, on the London based great EYA Records label".

Today we are thrilled to share with you a live set recorded by arguably one of the most extraordinary producers from China - Noise&Noise, member of TEBP Music Organization in Japan. Since 2010, he has been active in the Electro scene worldwide and has released more than 15 albums, eps and V.A in USA, Japan, UK, France, Spain, Portugal and Belgium. The labels include Transient Force, Tokyo Electro Beat Park, Anti Gravity Device, Bass Agenda, ANTIZER0, Fundamental-Records, Les Disques Cockpit and more.​
The core of his works is futurism, with themes including post-humanism, space science fiction, near-future science fiction, quantum physics theory, and dystopian ideology. The aesthetic of music is mechanical, cold, paranoid, introverted. His synthesizer art is a mixture of fear, anxiety and ecstasy from the future world.

Which artists has influenced you the most?
- Kraftwerk, Drexciya, Dopplereffekt, Chu Ishikawa(石川忠),Kenji Kawai(川井憲次) .But ultimately, you must return to yourself.
 
What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 
- No plans yet.

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?
- Electronic music artist Yosuke Ikeda (AE35)  from Japan and his label ANTI GRAVITY DEVICE, there is more communication and interaction between us.
 
What inspires you now to create music?
- The mystery of the universe, dreams of alien invasion, the future of technology, the absurdity of life itself, and the struggle of political ideology. 

What set-up do you use when creating music?
- Different tracks require different synthesizers, and I don't care about analog or digital. I even prefer the coldness and hardness of digital synthesizers, they must be deep, abstract, mysterious, neurotic, and aggressive enough.

Vor allem seit den letzten zwei Jahren haben wir regelmäßig verschiedene Gäste in unserer Sendung und nutzen die wunderbaren Möglichkeiten hier im Radio X um uns mit anderen Musiker_innen zu verbinden, sich kennenzulernen und zusammen zu grooven. 
Für uns ist es eine totale Bereicherung damit immer wieder neue Musik, neue Techniken, neue Blickrichtungen aufs DJing kennenzulernen.

In dieser Sendung kommen wir mit David aka p.limnique zusammen - ein Musiker der gar nicht aus dem DJing, sondern aus Live Performances, Produktion und Band-Kontext kommt.
Damit entdecken wir (Aaron und Jens aka animadu & black elmekx) als DJs - und wir alle drei zusammen nochmal eine völlig neue Art und Weise zu Spielen; unsere Turntables, CDJ's und Tapedeck als Instrumente mit Davids Effektgeräten, Mischern und Sythesizern zu verbinden 
- wir spielen Locked Grooves von Vinyl, legen ein Tape mit Fieldrecordings ein, spielen Percussions und Flächen vom digitalen Player, drehen an vielen verschiedenen Reglern, spielen eine Melodie auf dem Keyboard, lassen den Sound Schleifen drehen, verformen die Klanghaptik - und verlieren irgendwann selbst den Überblick über das was da gerade alles passiert. 
Aber genau das ist ein magischer und spannender Moment 
- im Jam ankommen, den Groove verfolgen, Kommunizieren ohne Worte.

Especially since the last two years, we have regularly had various guests on our show and use the wonderful opportunities here on Radio X to connect with other musicians, get to know each other and groove together.
For us it is a total enrichment to always get to know new music, new techniques and new perspectives on DJing.

In this show we meet David aka p.limnique - a musician who doesn't come from DJing at all, but from live performances, production and band contexts.
With this we (Aaron and Jens aka animadu & black elmekx) as DJs - and all three of us together - discover a completely new way to play; to connect our turntables, CDJ's and tape decks as instruments with David's effects devices, mixers and synthesizers
- we play locked grooves from vinyl, insert a tape with field recordings, play percussions and pads from the digital player, turn many different controls, play a melody on the keyboard, let the sound loop, deform the feel of the sound - and at some point we lose ourselves an overview of what is currently happening.
But that is exactly a magical and exciting moment
- arrive in the jam, follow the groove, communicate without words.
