"Diane" was originally intended as the title track of our fifth album and refers to the New York photographer Diane Arbus, who passed away in 1971. In 2024, we rediscovered her work through photo books and an exhibition in southern France. Her often unconventional portraits of people in 1960s New York felt like the perfect blueprint for our second America album after FOR. However, the album title eventually became YELKA … in a rose hat, inspired by a stunning drawing of one of her photos by Henrike Wissing.

Musically, we aimed to capture a kind of black-and-white moment, something that also deeply connects us to David Lynch. Diane and David form an intriguing pair in this context—both reflecting our fascination with the real, alternative America and the art of framing it."

Astrobal and Berend Intelmann have never met in person, but mutual respect for each other’s music and their upcoming joint concerts in Berlin and Cologne inspired them to create a collaborative track.

“Pink Noise” connects their sonic worlds through synthesizers and electronic drums — the shared language between their two musical approaches.
The song reflects on two places close to their hearts yet far apart geographically: Emma’s home in southern France and Berend’s in Berlin.

Earlier this year, Astrobal released his acclaimed album "L’uomo e la natura" in February, while Berend followed with his equally impressive album "Mother Nature" at the end of May. The two artists will perform together on 13.11.2025 at Panke – Berlin and 15.11.2025 at 674FM – Cologne.

Hansen interprets Thom Yorke’s song – originally released in 2019 as part of the soundtrack for Motherless Brooklyn – as a quiet, intimate meditation on the pressure to adapt in everyday life.

we didn’t care is the Berlin-based producer and musician Engin Oeztuerk. He creates a world of atmospheric, guitar-driven songs that remain accessible despite their depth. His music guides listeners into a quiet yet uplifting state, without ever needing to be loud.

Drawing on his background as the son of Turkish guest workers in Germany, subtle traces of Turkish folk traditions flow into his music. These sit alongside influences from punk, hip-hop, indie, and electronic dance music, which he considers all building blocks of the same sonic language. Together, they form a diverse yet cohesive musical identity. The songs remain pared-down and slightly mysterious, reflecting both his cultural roots and global influences.

With 'Dere Geliyor,' we’re releasing his first single – a colorful film of someone too impatient to sit still, waiting to finally be with their beloved.

we didn’t care ist der in Berlin ansässige Produzent und Musiker Engin Oeztuerk. Er erschafft eine Welt aus atmosphärischen, gitarrengetragenen Songs, die trotz ihrer Tiefe leicht zugänglich bleiben. Seine Musik versetzt die Hörer:innen in einen ruhigen, aber aufbauenden Zustand, ohne laut auftreten zu müssen.

Ausgehend von seinem Hintergrund als Sohn türkischer Gastarbeiter in Deutschland fließen feine Spuren türkischer Folk-Traditionen in seine Musik ein. Diese stehen neben Einflüssen aus Punk, Hip-Hop, Indie und elektronischer Tanzmusik, die für ihn alle Bausteine derselben Klangsprache sind. Gemeinsam formen sie eine vielfältige und zugleich stimmige musikalische Identität. Die Songs bleiben reduziert und leicht geheimnisvoll und spiegeln sowohl seine kulturellen Wurzeln als auch weltweite Einflüsse wider.

Mit "Dere Geliyor" veröffentlichen wir seine erste Single – ein farbenreicher Film von jemandem, der zu ungeduldig ist, stillzusitzen, und darauf wartet, endlich bei der Geliebten zu sein.
