The legend himself was supposed to play at Rilindja Warehouse XVIII last year, before the pandemic was about to halt all activities in throughout the globe, aswell as ours. Today, as a glimpse of hope has started shimmering upon humanity again, we decided that the 30th podcast should come from non other than @inigokennedy, who hopefully will soon be here to tend to unfinished business, that of oscillating the dancefloor. The past period has been a challenge for Jephta. Before the pandemic, he drew a lot of emotional inspiration from the dance floor and his closest friends. These were key ingredients for him to convert emotions into a technical, personal, and fitting story. With these emotions disappearing due to the restrictions, Jephta had to find other ways to stay in touch with what he loves most. He did this by focusing his mentality on further developing his vision and character within electronic music. This process has made his sound even more personal and pure. 

The set represents the turbulent period he went through. Dark and light mixed into a strong musical and emotional story.

Beste Hira is an adventurous, strong willed and motivated person now based in Amsterdam with Istanbul as hometown. These aspects have brought her to the position she stands as an artist today. Music has been a lifelong priority, thus, she has oriented and based her entire High School and University education on Music, successfully graduating in 2016. Her career as a dj/producer started soon after and is why she decided to move to Amsterdam. Her EP works has also enabled her to make a name as a producer, merging talents with successful labels such as Schimmer Records. She has also had the opportunity to play with important names such as Nihad Tule in Schimmer Records x SEV Berlin’s showcase in Berlin. Following this, Beste has also taken Vienna by storm, making her European presence grow rapidly, Bcco x selected Berlin I was also play for them.

Hoy venimos a presentarles al siguiente artista encargada de participar de nuestra serie, un artista muy reconocido y con mucha trayectoria en la escena nacional argentina, e internacionalmente.

Bruno Ledesma, también conocido como Ledd, dio sus primeros pasos en el ámbito electrónico de la ciudad de Neuquén. Años de constante trabajo, disciplina y perseverancia lo posicionaron como uno de los principales referentes del techno patagónico. 

Desde el comienzo fue un productor autodidacta, editando su música para sellos de talla internacional como Credo, Decoy Records, Fresh Cut, Android Muziq, Darknet, Counter Pulse, Wall Music, Labrynth, Freitag Limited, dándole un interesante reconocimiento alrededor del mundo. 

En 2012 fundó su propio sello llamado Concepto Hipnotico Rec. Luego del éxito de los primeros lanzamientos y el apoyo de grandes artistas durante sus primeros años, Concepto se posiciona y establece hasta el dia de hoy (dentro y fuera de Argentina) como un potencial sello discográfico.

El sonido de Bruno (tanto en vivo como en sus producciones) se caracteriza por combinar texturas organicas, tribales y atmósferas abstractas sobre una marcada línea de kicks y basslines, generando un ambiente profundo e hipnótico y también intenso al mismo tiempo. En la cabina es amplio y versátil, adaptándose al lugar y a la ocasión, aunque principalmente su objetivo es lograr momentos de gran intensidad llevando a generar con el público una fuerte conexión musical.

Today we want to introduce you to the next artist in charge of participating in our series, a very recognized artist with a long career in the Argentine national scene, as well as internationally.

Bruno Ledesma also known as Ledd, took his first steps into electronic music in the city of Neuquén (ARG). Years of constant work, discipline and perseverance put him as one of the main referents in the patagonian techno scene.

In 2012 he founded his own label called: Concepto Hipnotico Rec. After the success of the first releases and the support of great artists during the first years, Concepto is now stablished (in and out of Argentina) as a potential Record Label. Parallel to his work as a producer and label manager, Bruno was also resident of the underground party cicle called PuntoClub and also the prestigious Bing Bang Groove. In both cicles he performed in front of a very numerous and demanding audience, which allowed him to develop his technic very quickly and professionally.

Bruno's sound (live and production wise) is characterized by combining organic textures, tribals and abstract atmospheres above a marked line of kicks and basslines, generating a profound and hypnotic ambience but also very intense. In the booth he's wide and versatile. adapting to any place or occassion, although his main objetive is to achieve moments of a lot of intensity and deep conection with the audience.

Antic Soul's performances have graced the stages of some of Berlin's most iconic venues, including the renowned Tresor, Sisyphos, About Blank, Kater Blau, KitKatClub and Alte Münze. Beyond the club scene, Antic Soul's infectious energy have also earned them coveted spots at parades like the CSD Parade and Zug der Liebe or the Feel Festival. Fuelled by their love for spreading positive vibes and creating unforgettable moments, Antic Soul took their passion to the next level by founding their own label Entourage Concept, focused on fast dub and groove techno. With this platform, they have not only been able to produce their own music but alsoprovide a launching pad for emerging talents in the techno scene. Antic Soul's own productions are getting played worldwide in the club scenes, further solidifying their position as not just DJs but also talented producers.

010 - MAASYM

(interview below)
Maasym, originally from near Frankfurt/Main and now based in Hamburg, stands for hypnotic, atmospheric techno with refined sound design. He has been active in the scene since 2015, founded his own label Vorm last year and has released on renowned labels such as Token Records, Illegal Alien, Flash Recordings and Planet Rhythm. His style is characterised in particular by the organic, raw sound that he consciously incorporates into his productions.

INTERVIEW
You founded your own label ‘Vorm’ last year. Was there a specific moment or thought that gave the go-ahead for this project?

There wasn't a specific moment for the starting shot, rather a thought. Many of the tracks that were being played and released at the time often sounded very similar to me and also a bit uncreative. I got a bit bored with the scene at the end of 2023, beginning of 2024 and came up with the idea of launching a new label and releasing tracks in the subgenre that I play or listen to a lot myself. I also wanted to give something to the scene and push artists who work hard, are creative and have their own style. But also, of course, to be able to decide for myself what to do with the music I produce. I then decided to kick things off with a record release.

Is there a track of yours that has a special emotional meaning for you?

My track ‘Intermediate Direction’ has a special meaning for me. I started making music in my teenage bedroom when there were no masterclasses or private courses. I sat in front of Ableton and my synthesiser for hours, trying to make my tracks sound like the music I was listening to. One label that I really loved back then (2016) was ‘Token’. Accordingly, the track means a lot to me and I am very happy that I got the chance to release on ‘Token’. Personally, it's still one of my favourite tracks.

Is there any other art form, apart from music, that inspires or excites you?

I listen to a lot of techno & hip-hop/rap, but I'm also a big rock and heavy metal fan. In general, this organic sound from the 70s, 80s or even 90s totally inspires me. There's a lot of life in it and it can often be very ‘rough’ and ‘dirty’. I always try to get this ‘life’ into my tracks when I record my patches or sequences. It doesn't always have to be perfectly produced. Sometimes it's more about the vibe that you feel at that moment when you're making music. Even if the sound is a bit too filtered or creaky.
