Vanoni (@vanoni) is a young DJ/Producer hailing from Patagonia, Argentina, currently based in Buenos Aires. Influenced by the most hypnotic and abstract sounds of Deep Techno, he started to develop his producer side in 2018, after years of DJing in his home town scene. Achieving a characterised base by long and reverberating pads, enveloping textures, minimal percussion and psychedelic synths. You’ll find his production on labels such as danza nativa (@danza-nativa), ritualism records (@ritualism-records), from a lost place (@fromalostplace), nferee (@nferee) and technologia organica (@technologiaorganica).

Phonons (@phonons-net) is an organization dedicated to dub, deep and hypnotic sounds. Runned by Phil Gray-Lopez and Nems-B since 2011, Phonons has been cultivating since 2011 a refined cosmic aesthetics through a small series of events in south of France and a subtly curated podcast series. 

Like us, Phil Gray-Lopez (@subrealist64) is a marine world aficionado : whale tail sculpturer and surfboard designer in the daily life, Phil is an artist at the broad sense of the term. Inspired by the roots of techno music and polyrhythmics structures, he is used to add live elements into his hybrid Dj sets. In charge of the first half of this mix (until 43’), Phil included some scientific recordings of fish communication sounds into his set. 

Second part of the podcast is the work of Nems-B (@nemsb). Acknowledged by his peers of the deep techno scene for his outstanding mixing techniques, Nahim has played in major places such as Tresor and the mighty Paral.lel Festival in Spain. As a producer, he released on Oslated, Geometrika FM and On Board Music.

For their contribution to our series, the two Phonons active members choose to explore the imaginary of the massive coral reef discovered in November 2021 off Tahiti. Nearly stretching two miles long and 200 feet wide, this is one of the most extensive healthy coral reefs on record. Found in pristine condition in the ocean's twilight zone feet below the surface - whereas coral normally needs sunlight and shallow warmth to thrive - these rose corals represent a highly unusual treasure of life. "We know the surface of the moon better than the deep ocean. Only 20% of the entire seabed has been mapped” admitted UNESCO after this discovery. Let’s discover about the soundtrack of this mysterious submarine environment could sound like.

Lyon-based artist, Sanjib (@sanjib-4) always guides listeners into an authentic and richly textured world between ambient and dub-techno. Eager to share electronic music focused on emotions, he creates a universe dedicated to travel and introspection with his mixes. After several EP’s released on Oslated (@oslated) and Lett Records (@lett-records), Sanjib produced two albums "Lost Continent" and "Lost Planet" released on Huinali (@huinalidub) and Annulled (@annulled_music) during the pandemic period. These opus were an opportunity to explore new textures with a story guideline.

"Saebius (@saebiusmusic), the mysterious Marseille based young talent draws on a wide range of stylistic influences from Radiohead to Monolake. It led him to produce his own ambient and techno sound based on atmospheres and rhythms.  After 6 years experimenting sound design he finally released his first promising EP in 2017 on Lowless called Water Memories. He received good support from the scene. It was the occasion to share for the first time his singular hypnotic and melancholic signature. His second appearance on the label as remixer in the Four Sides of Orithyia released in November 2018. This offered him more visibility and support from actors like the respected Monument media. It naturally drove him into some other projects in 2019/2020 with an EP release on Ritualism (@ritualism-records) and  his Lifeform LP on Agos Universe (@agardenofsound). In 2022 Saebius released "Lurk in The Water" for the famous compilation "Rhizome" on Lowless (@lowless-music) and a new album is already scheduled on this same label in 2023".

Spacer (@its_spacer) discovered electronic music in clubs, which immediately turned her into a dancefloor addict. In her sets she explores sounds without understanding boundaries and seeks, beyond the genre, to thrill and connect with people. A musical journey with the perfect combination of acid, electro, breaks and everything in between. Spacer is currently part of the Local Talent line-up on Human (Razzmatazz - Barcelona). Besides, she conducts "Orígens", in the bar and cultural bunker Rouge. A cycle of intimate conversations and dj sets with DJs, producers and other figures who have been pioneers in the electronic music scene in Barcelona.
