PRIMAL

Primal is an Icelandic electronic music producer and Dj based in Copenhagen.
The past few years, Primal has been involved with an electronic music project by the name of Kúra, featuring the Icelandic singer Fanney Osk.

Kúra, which became a widely recognized electronic act in northern Europe, offered an opportunity to explore new areas, ideas and genres. 
He eventually got introduced to the underground techno society by Just This crew.

Primal was then inspired to evolve his soundscape in new directions, resulting in a previously unexplored, darker universe with hypnotizing melancholic rhythms and heavy bass-lines.
The man behind Primal, Brynjar Bjarnfoss, was born in Reykjavík, Iceland where spent his early childhood years.

Since moving to Copenhagen at an early age, the music was always on the agenda. As a young adult he quickly got recognition in the Copenhagen underground electronic scene. He rapidly became a re-occurring act at various well renowned events, such as; Roskilde Festival, Distortion, Stella Polaris, STRØM and numerous clubs across Europe. He is currently featured as a newly implemented act of the Milano based Just This movement, and has recently cofounded the Just This record label.

Primal - Boundaries (Christian Löffler Remix)

Sensual beauty flows seemingly effortlessly into an enthrallingly hypnotic, ever-blossoming journey, as his interpretation weaves its slow-build seductive spell. Robert Babicz stands tall as one of only a handful of distinctive artists who are bold enough to breathe life into their productions with true emotion. ‘Temporary Sanity’ first appeared on the critically acclaimed ‘Time’ (LF017) album by Guy Mantzur & Sahar Z, and has remained a standout favourite since the LP was released back in November 2014. Now, Cornucopia has breathed a new life into the track with a beautifully melodic, subtle, sun-drenched percussive remix.

Already a huge track for John Digweed, who loved it so much, he featured it on his recent ‘Live In Montreal’ (Bedrock) release. Since then, the demand has been steadily growing for Cornucopia’s remix to be released in its own right, so at last, here we have it in all it’s glory on Lost & Found.

Once in a while an album appears that is distinctly special and has the ability to captivate audiences on a global scale, breaking through simplistic genre boundaries and uniting people through its exploration of the psyche of modern electronic dance music. Guy Mantzur & Sahar Z’s ‘Time’ project was such an album, and it remains as captivating and enthralling today.
