Following extensive support in Joris Voorn's DJ sets, it was only a matter of time before Anjunadeep champion Marsh appeared on Joris's Spectrum imprint.

Please welcome 'Little Darling', an immaculate slice of glistening progressive house that twinkles and shines with every bit of emotional weight we need after a year+ of lockdowns. Taking a rainbow of arpeggiated chords in the same way many timeless trance records did back in the day, there's a natural, and very gentle, ebb and flow that's driven by the stately kicks, bass line and cheeky flips into breakbeats and tribal percussion.

Think classic Hooj Tunes and Platipus releases but galvanised by that fresh 20s energy and feeling that a new dawn is coming closer; Marsh is soundtracking how we're all feeling right now.

Anjunadeep welcomes Alan Fitzpatrick to the fray for his debut release on the soul-brimming imprint. Alan Fitzpatrick’s decorated release catalogue and steadfast come up outshone the underground techno diaspora, placing him firmly on the world stage as a headline artist garnering international reverence and undeniable industry support. 

A new sound has emerged from Fitzpatrick’s sonic palette; broader in its range and rooted in experiments with more soulful or deeper influences from across electronica, breakbeat, dub and house. A sound that sits comfortably among the rich, depth-charged records being released by the aforementioned Anjunadeep. 

‘Warning Signs’ is the collaborative effort of both Fitzpatrick and Lawrence Hart, the pair’s debut with the label is a twisting house menagerie with dazzling and thought-provoking sound design. The arrangement rises with groove-stricken drum programming and interweaving atmospheric details, sub-atomic bassline stabs walk hauntingly beneath the composition’s main body.

Every element fluently communicating with its counterpart is what makes this track truly special, appearing to breathe and fluctuate as the melody opens up alongside a flurry of hi-hats and hypnotic vocal hooks. “I first heard Lawrence’s voice in 2015, when I received the promo of ‘Call It Love’ by George Fitzgerald. I was immediately blown away” says Alan.

Moonlit arpeggiators will carry the record into a crescendo of paradisiacal strings and warping low end frequencies, the pair have cultivated the perfect antidote to a year without clubland as we wish our progression back to normal life can be as starry-eyed as this arrangement.

Alan Fitzpatrick & Lawrence Hart - Warning Signs

Hello Soulful Techno lovers I am UK based artist Michael Walken.

I first started getting into the minimal techno and electro from places like Germany properly around 2004/2005 I believe, Gabriel Ananda was incidentally one of the very first artists I remember really loving the sound of. I believe Ihre Personliche Glucksmelodie was one of the first I heard. I had been moving through genres of dance music since being around 11 after hearing The Prodigy. But when I first heard Gabriel and this blend of minimalist techno and electro I immediately loved the playful hooks and upbeat melodies and electronic sounds. The techno I had heard before was mainly through big bands such as Underworld and The Prodigy but really got excited by this fresh upbeat melodic european sound.

So getting speaking to Gabriel last year, being one of my favourite and first techno artists I heard was very exciting. Gabriel liked the first track I sent, which spurred me on too make more. Firstly I had a middle eastern riff that I jammed which went on to be Peace In The Middle East. Definitely my finest solo work to date. I am no Bob Dylan but I always loved the protest song so Peace In The Middle East really just became a subtle protest song I suppose. I think it has drama and beauty, and the silence and undisturbed music that peace can bring in the interlude in the main breakdown.

The second track Peace Agreement leads on from Peace In The Middle East. Imagining there has been a long standing Peace Agreement which sticks. I was lucky enough and completely bowled over when Gabriel said he would collaborate on this track. I have had some great feedback in the past from some big names such as Hernan Cattaneo, SLAM, Orbital, BIllie Ray Martin but being able too actually throw ideas round and collaborate on the same track as someone of Gabriels calibre and a favourite artist of mine was a dream come true! This led to it being much deeper and warmer in its ambience with a much better structure and a track I will be immensely proud of.

Lastly I already had a very dreamy electronica folky track that I remixed for a friend J.Perkins which Gabriel liked the vibe of immediately. And in corona times I think some warm optimism like this would be welcome. I think it leads on nicely on the ep, starting with drama imagining peace and by the end in a warm daydream in an almost perfect world.

Gentle arpeggios, cathedral size synths and that powerful feeling of natural musical euphoria. Music to get lost inside of, music to hug your friends to, music that brought us all here in the first place. Keep powering through - we're almost there!

Heading straight for the fast lane is Josh Gigante with „Attention Seeker“. A hypnotic one-note bassline with ritualistic vocals takes you onto a night ride on the highway, until the overdrive kicks in and a sudden chainsaw-sounding lead is giving off sparks.

„Tanzwerk“ by Jepe takes you to a sinister sounding technocratic utopia, where suddenly all the sounds of machine processes align and form a dance floor symphony.

Next on the 21st Four To The Floor is „Folk“ by AIKON, an upbeat affair with slight hints of 80s, New Wave and Acid.

And closing off is „Music is the way“ by Spada feat. Klara Sestiniova, a dreamy end-of-night soundtrack that will definitely provide for a hands-up and eyes-closed moments.

Electronic music has always been filled with innovative individuals. Tribe Records label head Dean Zepherin is a musician, producer and DJ who really does boast an appeal like few others. Renowned for consistently pushing genres to the edge, he is an artist of many different sounds and styles, who’s colourful and diverse approach continues to enthral clubbers and music heads across the globe. Born and raised in West London, he spent time in the creative hub of Berlin, now residing in the musically rich city of Melbourne. A pioneer and an innovator, he continues to push genres forward. Making music for a double decade, he’s had outings on Local Talk, Visions Recordings, No Fuss, Vega Records, Defected, Suol and Jack Trax.

Tribe Records, although initially a vehicle for Zepherin’s solo productions and collaborations, has hosted works from a diverse range of artists from across the globe. Fresh from remixing Foreign Guest’s recent single ‘Rek’ for Berlin’s Crossfrontier Audio, London-based producer Rashid Ajami is proud to present his inaugural EP for Noir Music ahead of its release on September 25th. ‘Night Prayer’ ft. JAW - complete with two remixes from Parisian trio dOP - taps into the distinctive, deeply-resonant sound that first saw Ajami catch the attention of influential tastemakers Anjunadeep back in early 2013. 

Centred around a deep, peak-time groove, ‘Night Prayer’ first and foremost exhibits Ajami’s flair for writing song-based music. Gentle, percussive layers and short bursts of melody provide the perfect foil for JAW’s hazy, dream-like vocal flow to take centre stage to lucidly mesmeric effect. Beautifully balanced and squarely aimed at the dance floor, it’s abstract, prayer-like composition also means it has legs away from the club too, reinforcing Ajami’s ability to produce records that connect in both different ways and crucially, spaces.

Backed up by a pair of remixes from revered beatmakers dOP - one a deeper, tech-leaning vocal rework and the other a stomping, melody-laced instrumental dub - ‘Night Prayer’ represents some of Rashid Ajami’s best work yet, adding to a growing discography that already includes releases on Anjunadeep, Cajual, Kittball and Armada.
