The Garden of Terrors and Delights began as a theater piece in which we envision a tour of said garden via poetry/guitar mashups. The show debuted at Connexions gallery in Easton, PA, and was subsequently recorded at the Bethlehem Area Public Library, believe it or not, which has a recording studio in the basement! Cheers to sound engineer Justin Merritt for getting the sound right and to William Christine for the cover art. 

The Starry Eyes combine original poems with classical guitar repertoire for a strangely compelling dance in which the two pieces waver between convergence and juxtaposition. Guitarist Michael Wall and poet Cleveland Wall have been performing together since 2011.

Michael Wall is self taught with  private studies with many great teachers including Jason Espada, Sharon Wayne, Virginia Lugue and Thomas Shugar. Upon moving to Pennsylvania in 2000, he performed extensively in private engagements for several years.  He shifted to working on inventing a new finger style, and in the years that followed, a collaboration developed through  participating in poetry readings with his wife, the poet Cleveland Wall.
