Just a little showcase of Wicked Captures Randall Diavlo 45 capture pack for the Quad Cortex by Neural DSP. I used the included "RndEVIL45" p[reset, but swapped the main capture for the highest gain setting with an Airis Tight Pro drive in front. I also used the capture with the cab integrated - a godly 2x12 with V30s.

Just some "Dad" chords with a tight high gain tone in E Standard. The roar, clarity and harmonic richness of this amp capture is off the charts! Shout out to Jeremy Varao for some damn good stuff!

Just a straight 80s throwback track to demo the Wicked Tones Quad Cortex capture pack of the Ground Zero Amplification Dirty Bomb amp. It's super capable of many tones, but it started as a Marshall Super Lead before being radically modded, so I hearkened back to that.

Another quick showcase of the Dirty Bomb amplifier capture pack by Wicked Tones for the Quad Cortex. Both the clean and dirty captures have Jeremy Varao's Friedman cab baked in.

Black Orchids

My attempt at creating a Friedman-sounding hot-rodded amp that split the difference between modern and vintage. It's Line 6 Helix JCM 800 model with a Maxon D9 in front. I used Ownhammer Marshall 2x12 IRs - One with a EVH 5153 Celestion speaker mix, and the other with OH's "Green"back mix.

Just a little tossed off demo to show what the new Celestion-brand Impulse Responses sound like. This is the Creamback H 75 IR for all tracks except the bass, which was my guitar run through a Helix bass patch with a pitch shifter at the front of the chain. The clean amp model was the PRS Archon with a sprinkle of Particle Verb. The drive sounds were all the Bogner Shiva model.

This is a comparison/shootout of Line 6 Helix high gain amp models done in an "old school" fashion. By that, I mean, I set it up like a real studio with a single cab - in this case, a Joey Sturgis Tones impulse of a 2x12 Zilla Fatboy cab with a V30 on one side and a Creamback H in the other. The V30 side has a single off-axis SM57 on it while the Creamback has a 421 on it. I used a 8K high cut on the cab block, put an SD1 in front, then put all five amps through the same chain with no changes to the rest of the signal chain. 

I dialed each amp to where I liked it, then double tracked a take unique to each amp.

So.....finally got inspired with the new multi-scene Devin Townsend preset for the Fractal Audio FM3. Wanted to record something that was somewhat evocative of the guy, but also a little groovier and my style. All guitars are various scenes in the Devy preset. The bass is all Toontrack EZBass with the Djently Pick preset.
