Born David Ortiz and raised in Puerto Rico, Güitonsky began his music career as a percussionist with many cultural groups in Cleveland, Ohio.

Ortiz was the second of 2 children born into a family of musical influence. His father is a guitarist and his mother's relatives are percussionists. Surrounded by such musical sway, as a child, he began playing hand drums at the Christmas gatherings. Influenced by his surroundings he was introduced into a deep sense of cultural admiration which brought up in him a sound interest in his roots. He then partook in many activities which promoted cultural awareness from performing in festivals to organizing workshops.

Güitonsky's first push into recorded music was as part of the band Son Gitano, considered a Top Latin band in Ohio, which launched an original promotional album. Güitonsky has slowly but surely earned his reputation as a performer.

Güitonsky's breakout single "Beso" is a merengue electronico which debuted recently on radio stations and it's promising to propel his career to new heights.
