The trumpet and conch resound. The great warriors look impressive.

ਨਚੇਤੁੰਦਤਾਜੀ॥ਮਚੇਸੂਰਗਾਜੀ॥੧੯॥
The swift-running horses dance and the brave warriors are excited.19.

ਝਿਮੀਤੇਜਤੇਗੰ॥ਮਨੋਬਿੱਜਬੇਗੰ॥
The glistening sharp swords flash like lightning.

ਉਠੈਨੱਦਨਾਦੰ॥ਧੁਨੰਨ੍ਰਿਬਿਖਾਦੰ॥੨੦॥
The sounds of drums arise and are heard continuously. 20.

ਤੁਟੈਖੱਗਖੋਲੰ॥ਮੁਖੰਮਾਰਬੋਲੰ॥
Somewhere the double-edged swords and helmets lie broken. Somewhere the warriors shout “Kill! Kill!”.

ਧਕਾਧੀਕਧੱਕੰ॥ਗਿਰੇਹੱਕਬੱਕੰ॥੨੧॥
Somewhere the warriors are forcefully knocked about. Somewhere, being puzzled, they have fallen down. 21.

ਦਲੰਦੀਹਗਾਹੰ॥ਅਧੋਅੰਗਲਾਹੰ॥
The great army is being trampled. Limbs are being chopped into halves.

ਪ੍ਰਯੋਘੰਪਰਹਾਰੰ॥ਬਕੈਮਾਰਮਾਰੰ॥੨੨॥
The long steel maces are struck. The shouts of “Kill! Kill!” are raised.22.

ਨਦੀਰਕਤਪੂਰੰ॥ਫਿਰੀਗੈਣਹੂਰੰ॥
The stream of blood is full. The houris walk over the sky.

ਗਜੈਗੈਣਕਾਲੀ॥ਹਸੀਖੱਪਰਾਲੀ॥੨੩॥
The entity Kali is thundering in the sky and the vamps are laughing.23.

ਮਹਾਸੂਰਸੋਹੰ॥ਮੰਡੇਲੋਹਕ੍ਰੋਹੰ॥
The great warriors equipped with steel and filled with ire look impressive.

ਮਹਾਂਗਰਬਗਜਿਯੰ॥ਧੁਨੰਮੇਘਲਜਿਯੰ॥੨੪॥
They roar with great pride. Hearing them, the clouds feel shy.24.

Bhai Sukhwinder Singh (vocal) sings the above Shand in Raag Kanrra set to Iktaal. Alongside Bhai Sahib are Sukhmanpreet Singh (vocal/Swar Mandal), Prabhjot Singh (Jori Pakhavaj), Harjinder Singh (Sarangi) & Taran Singh (Tanpura). 

The Jatha begins with a short instrumental followed by a vocal Alaap and then a Manglacharan. After these introductory stages, they transition to the main Shand. Following this, an additional Chaupai is introduced. Upon completion; they return to the original Stand and conclude on a Tihaee.
