The original 'Who Dem' 45 was sampled by Chase & Status on their Drum & Bass hit 'Duppy Man', so I flipped the dubplate on the riddim of their other hit single 'Hitz' featuring Tinie Tempah.

Been getting a lot of requests for Luke Combs - Fast Car (and rightfully so, as it's one of the biggest songs of the year!)

So I found a way to make it work in my DJ sets! Thanks to both Ricky Blaze's production and Luke Combs singing in the key of G# - I was able to make this match made in heaven mashup!

I tested this mashup live at a show last month. Literally all on the fly after spotting both songs were in F#m. 

Instrumental on one deck, Acapella on the other. The crowd went craaaazy! 

So I hit the studio straight from the gig, and tightened it up for you all to enjoy!

Big thank you to @hailewstrn for the dub of his new single 'Pure Blue'! - Absolutely loved the original mix, so I had to put my flip on it with the Supersonics 'Walk Away From Love' riddim, as made famous by Bitty Mclean. 

The original riddim was in G#m and Haile's vocals were in C major, so one little semitone up on the riddim took it to the relative minor key of Am and it fits so sweet!

As Toddla T is the fresh prince of Sheffield, I thought I'd nod to another Steel City legend, Philip Oakey! 

Turns out Rambling Bars is in the same key as the 80s classic by The Human League frontman 'Together In Electric Dreams'!

So here's the edit nobody asked for!

This was a favourite forgotten Marlena Shaw cover of Etta James that I LOVED! 

When I first started going to raves when I was a teenager, there was a live Drum & Bass band called 'ANALOG' from Southend-On-Sea, and they had a DnB song called 'Charlie', which was based around the sample from this record. 

I then had some fun mashing it up with the Reggae classic 'For The Love Of You' by John Holt, but I kept the original bassline from the Marlena Shaw track. And only used the Drums, Piano and additional guitar from the John Holt track.
