One of the compilations of 2023 Curses' Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX saw the Berlin-based Musician and DJ explore the darker side of club music. Bringing together 49 tracks that joined the dots between early industrial pioneers, EBM legends and post-punk bands with some of the most exciting artists around today this was a celebration of the kind of raw electronic music best performed live in smoke filled clubs. One might suspect that between this and the first equally acclaimed, and substantial, Next Wave Acid Punx album clubland's gothic vaults might be eerily empty. But, just as every good live act knows, you should hold something special back for an encore, and so Curses is back with Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX - Secret Cuts, 11 bonus tracks that all deserve their own moment in the strobe light.

PREMIERE: Günce Aci - Being In The Shadows [Eskimo Recordings]

Nothing Is Real landed for the 28th release with “Disco Knife” by Sugar Rody. Co-founder of the mighty Dark Disko night in Tallin, he delivered a post-punk synth-wave 5 tracks EP, which includes two amazing remixes by the label friends Mufti and Gunce Aci.
‘Disco Knife’ captures the attention with the main synth, that followed by the vocal from the iconic duo Local Suicide, gently drives the composition hugging the dark and distorted guitar solo melody.
The second track ‘Jean Claude’ with his psychedelic guitar and leads, It transports the listeners in a cosmic journey. This is a truly original and mesmerizingly piece of Dark Wave music. The Mexican master Mufti did a remix treatment to this track, giving a special night driver twist with his unique new wave fingerprint.
The third track ‘On The Run’ has an Italo-disco soul, composed by rolling bassline and synth pop melodies.
Finishing off the release is the remix by the Turkish artist based in Istanbul Gunce Aci, which makes a fantastic disco-dub version of the main track ‘Disco Knife’, delivering a pure energetic bliss for every body-mover on the dancefloor.

Influencée par l'Indie-dance, la new wave, l'électronique et le letfield, sa musique déroule nappes hypnotiques sombres, lignes de basse solides, rythmes interrompus et mélodies captivantes qui convergent dans un obscur paysage sonore dimensionnel. Elle ne croit pas aux genres ou au paraître, et se révèle être une amoureuse dévouée des irrégularités.
