Middle East Dubstep

I was playing around with this Middle Eastern vibes, discovering makams (middle eastern scale) and microtonal transitions between notes. I've came to Hicazkar makam,  and started to build a melody around it. And melody fitted well with Kanun (middle eastern instrument like Harp). Recorded bunch of stuff, used that flute/ney sound you guys included with the Pharoah pack under the Ney (again, another middle east instrument like flute, the melody at the start) sound I've recorded.

The melody ended up sounding Ancient Egyptian so I kept it in the chorus part, made it the focus. I was thinking about creating tracks like Turn Down For What or Get Low (Dj Snake - Dillon Francis) but the way I structured sounded way more melodic.

 This project started as a traditional middle eastern music meets dubstep, ended up kinda trap, but you can still hear growls and wheeps.

And  you can hear, it's pretty bass heavy in chorus. Really wanted to sound huge, deep with the bass;  and orient, "old but gold" with the melodies. Just like Ancient Egyptian's are mentioned today.

This track ended up far beyond my expectations. It's been really fun to mix ancient and modern genres.
