Jay Brannan - After All This

Last year I was fortunate enough to go on a little songwriting retreat in Tulum with the peeps from Sunset Sessions. Looking back, I am not even sure how I ended up on that trip happened. It was surreal, and beautiful, and breathtaking. And it was a last minute decision. Every day we would get paired with 3 writers, on that first day, I was paired with Alex Cuba. He started playing this funky guitar lick, and the words just poured out. I knew right then and there that was the reason I was supposed to be there, for this song to be born. I will never forget it. That was it for me, I could barely finish another song after we wrote this. That trip and this song will always hold such a special place in my heart. I wanted to keep it just acoustic and vocals, because I felt like trying to add things like drums and more guitars, just cluttered it. I felt like it was a perfect way to end this EP. I hope you have enjoyed listening! Cheers to many more years of making music and dancing in our future :) <3 TP
