Written&Recorded 2007ish With my mate Big Willy Gumkin.
Will created this amazing trak and gave me the honour or throwing a vocal melody and Lyrix over it ....along with bunch of other Trax.
I recorded the vocal believe it or not,  through a Marshal  80watt solid state amp with a Shure 58...
straight into the crappy old Pc.
We intended to rerecord this in a studio but life didn't take there.
I picked this trac as the first upload  cause life travels by so quickly... best we remind ourselves everyday.... lets enjoy every moment of life with each other in kindness ....Best we can!
Sometimes we live it without realizing how Good it is....

Life Goes By

This was recorded At Fleetwood  Studios [Jeff Wright] round 2004.
Lots of very late nights and we hours of the morning
Brendan Myers[ Reggie Rawhand ] and I wrote this song together along with many other tunes .
We certainly had some magic happening for a while.

Starlight Hotel

This version was recorded At Fleetwood Studios [ Produced by Jeff Wright
Farnam band, Ross Wilson, Max Merrit etc etc,] round 2004.
Band ....Freight

This was the first track we wrote together almost before we were even a band 
 Chris Jetson and I recorded it one afternoon on a very average Cakewalk programme 
It was quite exciting as we realized we had some sort of musical chemistry happening.
In the late eighties and nineties I spent alot of time in bands playing very late or even early hour timeslots in the northern suburbs.
Woke up some mornings pretty indisposed and wondering where the hell I was.
Back seat of my or someone’s car, park benches, laundry matts with warm dried sheets? 
Fun days a bit blurry...... but survived.
I wrote this song with those days n nights in mind.
I Suggested to Brendan to listen to a few Lenny Kravitz tunes in regards to the solo.
I was really impressed with what he came up with ....Very cool!
I have another version of this recorded a The jam tin.
Has a different bass line in the chorus that Will played.
Jeff  played bass on this version of  chorus suggesting it was a bit busy.
Be good to compare down the track.

Cold Sober

I wrote the melody and lyrics to this tune with  'Macy Gray' in mind .
After watching her video clip of the song ' I Try' 
It blew me away with her beautiful infectious smile ......sorta like Cindy Lauper in the late 80s 90s

A close mate....at the time............  bagged her bad and I replied  with 
'Man I  think shes amazing etc......
So hence the lyrics......... even the melody I imagined her singing it far better than I could myself!

This one has a bit of a story
Many of us take our relationships for granted, especially when we are younger.
The character in this track I pictured to be a bit on the egotistic side, loves a drink...surprise surprise...
Taken his true love for granted time after time until someone more sensitive steals her away
Sounds typical doesn’t it 
Fairly good demo recording written with the Freight blokes again..
I remember Bren was accomplishing a glassy sort of credence sound on the rhythm


Jealous Man

Stolen Winter.
I wrote this one about 12 yrs ago after a close mate lost his very young wife to a very unfortunate car accident.
Her name was Nicole and was not only his wife but the Bass player in this band.
Life seems so unfair to some 
 Another Freight Track....Upbeat Rocky sort of a Tune.
Tried to get a big epic..ish sound in the studio 
Chris was playing his original 58 single coil Les Paul if I remember rightly.
As in most of the tracks Vocals were sung straight through without drop ins 
The Neil young Approach
Bren and I spent alot of time on this one with different arrangements
In the end I was getting lost in different melodies but this was the end result.
Not sure if it sat well with our other songs if they were together on a record.

I will upload the roarer earlier recordings as a comparison eventually but I have to grab em off cassette.
Sean Vanda meed Predomatly came up with the Guitar Riffs 
Pretty Impressive effort on his Part
I arranged  them and came up with melody and Lyrix
Will on Bass again but hard to hear due to the way it was Mastered.

If you listen to the lyrix ....Yes I did have romantic dreams in my Head!!!

FRUSTRATION

I have been lucky enough to collaborate with some very talented musicians of many years, dating back to the mid 80s.
Covering many genres and facets of music.
Some of those people I am still close to and I thank them for the inspiration and friendship
I found when creating music, sound and melody together you have in most cases a soulful connection that can stand the test of time. Some sort of fellowship that is nurtured.
I guess in all Art forms there is a common goal, maybe even a yearning to create.
True Art in my heart is created without ambition of fame and fortune or material gain
 Let’s face it reality isn’t always Kind...................
......But pure intent to balance the Anxieties of life, breathe character into your subject something that is profoundly a part of all cultures........... Music.
Music obviously has a universal language that colours our world. 
So if you’re interested in hitching a ride on a journey covering my collaborated music that has never been released for an array of reasons that are not worth pursuing.
I will upload a trak or 2 every few days ...ish when I have the time.

Although most tracks have been performed live.
The production and even the integrity of the songs maybe questionable.
It’s not my intent to upload in my eyes the shiniest tunes
