ਮਾਤ ਸੁਤਹਿ ਸਿਧ ਸੁਤ ਰਖਵਾਲੀ।।ਸੁਤ ਹਿਤ ਮਾਤ ਸਰਬ ਬਲਸ਼ਾਲੀ।।੧।।

ਜਗਤ ਜਨਨੀ ਜਸ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਜਾਨਾ।।ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧੀ ਸੰਤ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਨਾਨਾ।।
ਨਹ ਬਿਧੀ ਧਰੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਛ ਗਿਆਤਾ।।ਇਕ ਸੁਤ ਬੋਲ ਆਵਤੀ ਮਾਤਾ।।੨।।

ਚਰਮ ਚਲਨ ਚਿਤ ਚਰਨ ਧਿਆਨਾ।।ਸਭ ਸਿਧੀ ਕਾਜ ਸੁਲਭੀ ਗਿਆਨਾ।।
ਬਿਨਸਹਿ ਪਾਪ ਬਿਨਹਿ ਬਿਲੰਭਾ।।ਸਾਧ ਸਦਾ ਸ਼ਰਨਈ ਗੌਰੰਭਾ।।੩।।

ਬਿਨਤੀ ਕਰਹੂ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਦੇਵਾ।।ਸਭ ਸਦ ਕੁਸ਼ਲ ਮੋਖ ਸੁਖ ਸੇਵਾ।।
ਕੈਹੀ ਚੂਕ ਜਿਹੀ ਤੁਮ ਬਾਸਾ।। ਬਸਹੁ ਮਨਹ ਮਨਮਈ ਮੋ ਆਸਾ।।੪।।

ਦਿਆਲੂ ਦੋਖ ਦਹਿਤ ਅਬਿਗਾਮੀ।।ਸਦਾ ਸਬਹੀ ਬਿਧ ਤੁਮ ਅਨੁਗਾਮੀ।।
ਹਰ ਬਰ ਮਾਂਗ ਮਾਗਹੂ ਜਰਹੀ।। ਸਰਬ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਰਹਹੂ ਅਨੁਸਰਹੀ।।੫।।

ਜੋ ਜਪਤ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਭ ਤਹ ਅਘ ਬਿਗਨ ਬਿਨਾਸ।।ਇਕ ਮਨ ਇਕ ਚਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਉ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਗੁਰਪੁਰ ਕੋ ਵਾਸ।।੧।।

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਬਿਲੋਵਨਾ ਬਿਲੋਵਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥
 Churn the churn of the Lord, O my Siblings of Destiny.

ਸਹਜਿ ਬਿਲੋਵਹੁ ਜੈਸੇ ਤਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Churn it steadily, so that the essence, the butter, may not be lost. ||1||Pause||


The Muslim Rababis used to perform kirtan in Harmandar Sahib till the formation of the SGPC in 1925. Ghulam Mohammad Chaand (from the family of Bhai Mardana) during his recent visit to Amritsar was disheartened to know that he could not perform kirtan in the sanctum sanctorum of Harmandar Sahib like his forefathers did. His paternal uncle, Bhai Chaand, was the “Hazoori Raagi” of the Golden Temple before Partition.
