ਕਰੀ ਹੈ ਹਕੀਕਤ ਮਲੂਮ ਖੁਦ ਦੇਵੀ ਸੇਤੀ ਲੀਆ ਮਹਖਾਸੁਰ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਛੀਨ ਧਾਮ ਹੈ ॥
(ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ) ਖੁਦ ਦੇਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੀ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਦਸੀ ਕਿ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਘਰ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
The gods told the goddess the truth, stating that the demon-king Mahikhasur had seized all their homes.

ਕੀਜੈ ਸੋਈ ਬਾਤ ਮਾਤ ਤੁਮ ਕਉ ਸੁਹਾਤ ਸਭ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਦੀਮ ਤਕ ਆਏ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਮ ਹੈ ॥
ਹੇ ਮਾਤਾ! ਓਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਲਗਦੀ ਹੈ। (ਅਸੀਂ) ਸਾਰੇ (ਤੁਹਾਡੇ) ਮੁੱਢ ਕਦੀਮ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਤਕ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਹਾ।
They said, “O mother, Thou mayest do whatever pleasest Thee, we have all come to seek Thy refuge.

ਦੀਜੈ ਬਾਜ ਦੇਸ ਹਮੈ ਮੇਟੀਐ ਕਲੇਸ ਲੇਸ ਕੀਜੀਐ ਅਭੇਸ ਉਨੈ ਬਡੋ ਯਹ ਕਾਮ ਹੈ ॥
ਸਾਨੂੰ (ਸਾਡਾ) ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ-ਬਾਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਕਰਾ ਦਿਉ ਅਤੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਮਿਟਾ ਦਿਉ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਰਹਾ (ਦੈਂਤਾ ਨੂੰ) ਬੇਹਾਲ (ਅਭੇਸ) ਕਰ ਦਿਉ, ਇਹੀ (ਸਾਡਾ) ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ।
“Please get us back our abodes, remove our suffering and make those demons garbles and wealthless. This is a very great task which can only be accomplished by Thee.

ਕੂਕਰ ਕੋ ਮਾਰਤ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਤਾਹਿ ਮਾਰਤ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਖਾਵੰਦ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ ॥੨੨॥
ਕੁੱਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦਿਆਂ ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਦਿਆਂ (ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਨਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੨॥
“No one beats or talks ill to the dog, only his master is rebuked and censured.”22.

4. ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਔਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਵਿਰਤੀ, ਜਤ ਸਤ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਇਖ਼ਲਾਕ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਈ ਗੁਰਸਬਦ ਜਾਪ ਜੀ।

ਗਉੜੀ ॥
Gauree:

ਰੇ ਮਨ ਤੇਰੋ ਕੋਇ ਨਹੀ ਖਿੰਚਿ ਲੇਇ ਜਿਨਿ ਭਾਰੁ ॥
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! (ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ) ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ (ਸਾਥੀ) ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣੇਗਾ, ਮਤਾਂ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਸੰਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ) ਭਾਰ ਖਿੱਚ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ) ਲੈ ਲਏਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਮਤਾਂ ਸੰਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਪਰਪੰਚ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਾਇਆ ਧਨ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਂ) 
O my mind, even if you carry someone's burden, they don't belong to you.

ਬਿਰਖ ਬਸੇਰੋ ਪੰਖਿ ਕੋ ਤੈਸੋ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਸੇਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਜਗਤ (ਦਾ ਵਾਸਾ) ਹੈ ।੧।
This world is like the perch of the bird on the tree. ||1||

ਰਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਆ ਰੇ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਗੁਰਮੁਖ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਪੀਂਦੇ ਹਨ 
I drink in the sublime essence of the Lord.

ਜਿਹ ਰਸ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਗਏ ਰਸ ਅਉਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਰਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਸਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਵਿਸਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
With the taste of this essence, I have forgotten all other tastes. ||1||Pause||

ਅਉਰ ਮੁਏ ਕਿਆ ਰੋਈਐ ਜਉ ਆਪਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਨ ਰਹਾਇ ॥
ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੇ ਮਰਨ ਤੇ ਰੋਣ ਦਾ ਕੀਹ ਅਰਥ, ਜਦੋਂ ਸਾਡਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੇਗਾ? 
Why should we weep at the death of others, when we ourselves are not permanent?

ਜੋ ਉਪਜੈ ਸੋ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਹੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਰਿ ਰੋਵੈ ਬਲਾਇ ॥੨॥
(ਇਹ ਅਟੱਲ ਨਿਯਮ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਜੋ ਜੋ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ (ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਮਰਨ ਤੇ) ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰੋਣਾ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ ।੨।
Whoever is born shall pass away; why should we cry out in grief? ||2||

ਜਹ ਕੀ ਉਪਜੀ ਤਹ ਰਚੀ ਪੀਵਤ ਮਰਦਨ ਲਾਗ ॥
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ) ਪੀਂਦਿਆਂ ਪੀਂਦਿਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ 
We are re-absorbed into the One from whom we came; drink in the Lord's essence, and remain attached to Him.

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਚਿਤਿ ਚੇਤਿਆ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਬੈਰਾਗ ॥੩॥੨॥੧੩॥੬੪॥
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ—ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਗਤ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਿਰਮੋਹਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ;।੩।੨।੧੩।੬੪।
Says Kabeer, my consciousness is filled with thoughts of remembrance of the Lord; I have become detached from the world. ||3||2||13||64||
