ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਬਿਭਾਸ ਪੜਤਾਲ
Prabhaatee, Fifth Mehla, Bibhaas, Partaal:

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਰਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਜਾਪ ॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ । 
Chant the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam.

ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਅਹੰ ਤਾਪ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
(ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਦੁੱਖ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਹਉਮੈ ਦਾ ਤਾਪ—(ਹਰੇਕ ਵਿਕਾਰ) ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
Conflict, suffering, greed and emotional attachment shall be dispelled, and the fever of egotism shall be relieved. ||1||Pause||

ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਨ ਲਾਗਿ ਮਨੁ ਪਵਿਤੁ ਜਾਹਿ ਪਾਪ ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ, ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹੁ । (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ (ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ) ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।੧।
Renounce your selfishness, and grasp the feet of the Saints; your mind shall be sanctified, and your sins shall be taken away. ||1||

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਬਾਰਿਕੁ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਰਾਖਨ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਾਈ ਬਾਪ ॥੨॥੧॥੧੪॥
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਨਾਨਕ (ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਇਕ) ਅੰਞਾਣ ਬੱਚਾ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਦਾ) ਕੋਈ ਢੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ । ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਚਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ (ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ) ਮਾਂ ਪਿਉ ਹੈ ।੨।੧।੧੪।
Nanak, the child, does not know anything at all. O God, please protect me; You are my Mother and Father. ||2||1||14||

ਪਉੜੀ ੩੫ : ਬਗਦਾਦ-ਗਮਨ
Going to Baghdad 

ਫਿਰਿ ਬਾਬਾ ਗਇਆ ਬਗਦਾਦਿ ਨੋ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਕੀਆ ਅਸਥਾਨਾ।
From Mecca Baba went to Baghdad and stayed outside the city.

ਇਕੁ ਬਾਬਾ ਅਕਾਲ ਰੂਪੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਰਬਾਬੀ ਮਰਦਾਨਾ।
Firstly, Baba himself was in the form of Timeless and secondly, he had his companion Mardana, the rebeck player.

ਦਿਤੀ ਬਾਂਗਿ ਨਿਵਾਜਿ ਕਰਿ ਸੁੰਨਿ ਸਮਾਨਿ ਹੋਆ ਜਹਾਨਾ।
For namaz (in his own style), Baba gave call, listening to which the whole world went into absolute silence.

ਸੁੰਨ ਮੁੰਨਿ ਨਗਰੀ ਭਈ ਦੇਖਿ ਪੀਰ ਭਇਆ ਹੈਰਾਨਾ।
The whole city became quiet and lo! to behold it, the pir (of the town) also got wonderstruck.

ਵੇਖੈ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਲਗਾਇ ਕਰਿ ਇਕੁ ਫਕੀਰੁ ਵਡਾ ਮਸਤਾਨਾ।
Observing minutely he found (in the form of Baba Nanak) an exhilerated faquir.

ਪੁਛਿਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਕੈ ਦਸਤਗੀਰ ਕਉਣ ਫਕੀਰੁ ਕਿਸ ਕਾ ਘਰਿਆਨਾ।
Pir Dastegir asked him, which category of faquir you belong to and what is your parentage.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਲਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਇਆ ਰਬੁ ਫਕੀਰੁ ਇਕੋ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਾ।
(Mardana told) He is Nanak, who has come into kaliyug, and, he recognises God and His faquirs as one.

ਧਰਤਿ ਆਕਾਸ ਚਹੂ ਦਿਸਿ ਜਾਨਾ ॥੩੫॥
He is known in all the directions besides earth and sky.
